The Manager thread

Seems quite the departure from Critchley and Appleton who had reputations as being more modern managers. Hopefully can get turn them around, could do with some of the teams towards the bottom of the table picking up form to catch small heath.

Remarkable how after a decade of hoofball Kompany has turned Burnley into a really exciting possession based team so quickly.

Yes it’s the championship, but they are so good to watch with a lot of young kids in the team, and now 19 points clear of 3rd place.

Doing a great job.

Burnley will surprise a few back in the prem next season.

Kompany used his knowledge of Belgian football and they kept a decent core of players who came down like Charlie Taylor, Roberts, Brownhill, Barnes and Rodriguez so it's a very good mix and think they're enjoying the new approach after years of Dycheball.

Future Villa manager Dwight Yorke has left his job in Australia after 13 games to take the Sydney job

He's a bit of a word removed isn't he?

Still, looking forward to seeing what he can do in the next step of his career, moving from a mid table A league side to a mid table A league side

It seems to be the go to media tactic for these ex players that played at the highest level. One of the reasons they should not be given jobs

To be fair to Dwight Yorke, he's both played at the very highest level and in the A-league. He's giving an honest assessment - and it's hard to argue.

So Dwight has left his mid-table club to join another mid-table club, who themselves are taking a fresh perspective on things by replacing a former player turned manager....

.. with a former player turned manager

Gerrard and Lampard played at highest level amd said similar crap and lost the dressing room. Its terrible man management

He has also cried for years that nobody gave him a chance and when somebody did he pays them back by wanting to leave soon after 😂
