Looks like Spotify founder Daniel Ek might actually be serious about buying Arsenal. He's good for the money too but still doubt that Kroenke is actually going to sell.

Been on yank TV saying he has the money and wants to buy them but kroenke has made no noise about selling

First £1bn football club? With buying the club would come the stadium, playing staff, training ground etc could be a lot of money, his net worth is $4.5bn, would cost him somewhere between 25 to 50% of that, he's not mega rich but at the same time arsenal are horrifically run by kroenke so it wouldn't necessarily take a wedge of cash to make them better

Kroenke wont sell and he doesnt need too so i think its a bit pointless talk at the moment

If this guy buys the club he needs sense and not to involve Henry in his new administration, probably Vieira as well. Its a populist move and look at damage Ashley had when he tried similar with Keegan.

Arteta backing the owners, I imagine he realises a new owner will sack him immediately.

And the current ones would sack him if he didn't back them.

He’d probably put down 10% and the bank fund the other 90%.

He’d then probably run it worse than Kroenke because he’d splash some cash badly at the beginning on high profile signings that wouldn’t improve the team, then realise that it’s going to cost more and not want to put any extra cash in.

Rob Holding as captain in a european SF.:crylaugh:

They've just got so many average players nowadays. Thought Tomas Partey would be a really good signing for them but he's been pretty poor tonight. Perhaps he will come good next season.

He honestly hasn't looked the same since he tried dealing with Jack in the 3-0 away game and got swatted aside. Went off injured and hasn't looked looked like player since.

He played o.k second half considering he was on a yellow. Showed a bit of leadership and hit a nice throughball at the end that Aubameyang should've buried.

Arsenal really got away with that but at least will be interesting second leg compared to the other (of course we play Man. United 3 days after the second leg and it's basically done so they can rest a few).

It really does my tits in when commentators try to skew it so a blatant dive is a legit penalty!

Was a complete nonsense wasn't it.

Saka running into the box. Villareal player dosen't move towards him or even put his leg anywhere near Saka. Saka decides to move one of his trailing legs towards the defender and initiate contact when he was getting crowd out.

Pires years back got justifiably slaughtered when he won penalty for Arsenal in similar fashion and now it's just accepted given all the joke penalties given now.

Of course the argument will be made it's the same for free kicks on halfway line but that's a bit of a different outcome to having a free shot from 12 yards so that really needs to be factored in but gone the other way in last decade even before VAR.

Var has made it ten times worse! Quick check to see if there was ANY contact...penalty!

Now I think of it.

Saka, Grealish, Kane… all bloody love engineering a foul. Maybe it’s an English player thing.

My absolute favourite of these late-stage-decline-era Arsenal players is Cedric.

How is that still a thing? He hasn't put in a sustained period of decent performances for about half a decade!
