Finish painting the bathroom ceiling and skirting boards followed by a film and some Nintendo switch tomorrow. Then Sunday a family gathering over in Bidford by the river for a meal somewhere and getting hammered.

Been working in Bidford the last couple of days. Those pubs that are on the river bank look great. Me and my mate were saying yesterday that we could sit there all day drinking with the sun blazing. Lovely part of the world.

Day off today... took it easy, had breakfast in Lichfield then popped to the bank to sort a few things out. Chilling out tonight.

Folks tomorrow, hoping weather holds up so potentially have a bbq. Nothing planned for Sunday and Monday I plan to be a nervous wreck!

Tuesday at work will either be me in a foul mood or i'll have a stupid grin on me mush!

The Frog is the one I always go to and yeah, I've sat by the river with a few pints for a few hours a lot of times just watching everything go by. Lovely. Do it Ruge.

I have been at Bearded Theory Festival. Largely the music has been poor, and far too many deadlocked white people. We are going to cut it short and not hang around for the Sunday. Today I will watch Angelic Upstarts for the umpteenth time and The Cult.

Tonight, meal in the pub, followed by a gig (covers band doing Hendrix/Clapton stuff).

Tomorrow, local beer and music festival.

Monday, some footie match in that London.

So basically beer, music, beer, music, beer, football, beer.

Today I face the consequences for the amount of wine I drank yesterday,

I had the same issue yesterday.

Returned to brum for the weekend and met with some old mates for a catch up.

multiple pints of Guinness, craft ales, red wine and spiced rum later I got to bed at 4am.....

i will never learn, even at the age of 44 :D

  • 2 weeks later...

Fatherly duties tonight until Saturday afternoon, then meeting a mate for (belated) birthday beers in the jewellery quarter.

Sunday’s activities likely to include nursing a hangover and assembling kitchen cupboards.

Monday's a public holiday, thanks to your Queen, I'll celebrate to that!!

Just had a 9am run at the local basketball court with a group of 10, now off to the pub to watch the NBA finals. Then back to the basketball court for some more scrimmage.

Will spend a few hours looking for opportunities to do my placement for uni, really wanting to find somewhere that I could potentially have a future with.

I will spend a large part of either Sunday or Monday preparing for the advisory board meeting taking place on Tuesday, there's a submission for a royal commission required of me.

Might hit the casino for some poker if time allows for it. I've been once and left with over 40 times what I started with last time.

My friends thought that meant I was paying for everything. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a stingy bugger by any means. But a few rounds and a meal for a group of 5 is enough!

Especially when I'm not drinking!

I am spending the week in my motorhome on the coast in Somerset. On a clear day I should be able to see @chrisp65 house.

Keep an eye on it for me, there's a love.

I'm just setting out for Gloucester, checking out their Uni for my youngest progeny.
