Popular Post OutByEaster? Posted February 14, 2016 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted February 14, 2016 There's nothing I can tell you about the game that you don't know from the scoreline. Instead I'll focus on the last five minutes, the noise that came from the Holte End and around the ground, "We're the Villa boys making all the noise everywhere we go" non-stop from the 85th minute to the final whistle and for a few minutes beyond. The team may be shit, and they are, the owner may be shit, and he is, the backroom staff, the structure of the club may be shit, and it is - but we're not, we never have been and we never will be. When there's nothing left to be proud of you have to be proud of yourselves, you have to show what you're about - we did, not because the team needed us, or because the club needed us or because anyone deserved it, but because it's who we are. Six nil down, bottom of the league and in an appalling slump with no future and no bright spot on the horizon, the fans showed that the pride in the club I've dreamed about since I was a little boy is still there, even if the object of that pride isn't. It was defiance, it was love and it was genuinely moving. I'm ashamed of this football team, I'm ashamed of what this football club has become, but I'm proud to be an Aston Villa fan and I always will be. I'm proud of that noise and of the men that made it - we are this club and we will still be here when they next deserve us.

We also offer free morale boosters for shit goalkeepers .
Zatman
Mignolet got so bored he actually picked a fan out of the crowd to play 2nd half for him and he went for a pint

onmeedson
The total lack of fight in this club is the what worries me the most, foreign owner, foreign manager, foreign players all have no interest or inclination to run through walls for this club. We all thought doug was bad but this lot are in a league of there own, the fans are this clubs only asset, everything else is just disgraceful . Xela
Absolutely disgraceful 'performance'. This wasn't Barcelona we were playing, this was an average Liverpool team that tore us to pieces. The club should think long and hard about refunding the ticket money for anyone who was unfortunate enough to turn up today to watch that abortion As for the players, I would say currently, I wouldn't piss on any of them if they were on fire. Shit, money grabbing charlatans.
Ponky
Well congratulations to Jordan Lyden anyway for making his debut. I'm sure he'll remember the happy occasion for many years to come.
supernova26
Sorry but the fans didn't show much fight either. They were apathetic from the start which transmitted itself onto the pitch. Suppose can't blame them but singing 5 minutes from the end ironically is hardly something the be proud of. Singing from the start might be a better option next time. The only player that doesn't deserve to forfeit his wages is Gana, I wouldn't be bothered if the rest of them never played for us again. dakid007
Does any other team get punished live on skysports every season without fail. Sturridge will get injured. Origi & toure won't score again. We let teams embarrass up at villa park over & over & over & mother f in over every season
onmeedson
The one thing about the fans, they will always be villa fans, all the rest will disappear in time.
VillanousOne
in a perverse sense i'm glad this happened, just so I can give up and do something else on match days rather than watching this shower of rancid weapon's grade horseshit week in week out.
