If the players can't play to his strengths then clearly we should be replacing them, instead of a proven goalscorer? Also it's not necessarily the type of players, it's the way we play. Pretty sure they are looking for attackers now - lot to ask to find another one to replace Gestede in a week - given we already have business to do. jimcohen Posted August 19, 2016 Share Posted August 19, 2016 We have to keep him. Yes he is limited but we can play to his strengths. Amavi crosses and Rudy scores. That will happen a lot this season. A new RB doing the same and we are good. McCormack puts in a tidy ball too. We totally play to his strengths. If we had that McCormack would get more space and be a bigger threat. I understand using Rudy as a battering ram but that should be a last resort. We already have started a couple matches with over half our first team strike force in the XI while the other 2 "senior" strikers have not been involved(Gabby/Kozak). we would have to go out and buy 2 more strikers if we sold Gestede IMO. I'm not a big fan of Gestede, but the formation RDM seems to favour with all 4 of our attacking players on the pitch, means we already need at least 1 more striker and a further 2 attack minded players that can play in the 3 behind.
