We have suffered for years now from MON having full control, while this summer's signings have been exciting. The papers made a huge big deal about it all, but in the end it went through because Villa wanted it and so did the people concerned. So Almstadt - on account of him not being a 'football man' - cops more blame for us being bottom than the man who actually took charge of the matches and picked the team. Basically he doesn't fit into Collymore's antiqued view of how a club should be run so he's doing a bad job even if we have no idea what in particular he has done right/wrong.
