Odd. I thought it was a short, balding, goblin-looking, northern white bloke who was the biggest cause of people not taking it seriously enough.

You just need to embrace the hate in your heart to find the correct villain:

Absolute farce of a system. None of them truly deserve this “recognition”. Absolute cronyism in the face of everyone. It’s not like they even try and hide it.

First non-Tory government just needs to abolish the lot of them and restart it from scratch.

Whilst we're on the subject of peerages, the tories were pillorying Corbyn for never apologising for the IRA's attrocities, many people think they actually had a point

Yet today they have elevated very prominent former Revolutionary Communist Party member Claire Fox to the Lords, she unlike Corbyn (who always fudged) openly supported the IRA and has never apologised for that position

(See previous posts in this or other bollitics topics about the RCP really being the revolutionary wing of the Tory Party)

Claire Fox's opinions on the IRA would have been far more voiciferous and staunch as a member of the RCP than Corbyn ever would have been

They nominated Claire Fox? Really?

Jeebus.

Fox, for the reasons that you've laid out, is quite bizarre.

And she still hasn't apologised for saying the Bosnian Genocide was faked either whilst we're on about her former crimes

She does now feel stupid for defending Gary Glitter's right to download child porn, well that's something I suppose

Having a democratic system that basically hinges on a bunch of gentlemen's agreements to not take the piss doesn't work in a world where the powerful no longer give a ****.

That was always coming, though, wasn't it?

Bizarre if you base the judgement on her character, positions, qualifications and personality, yes, but on the other hand, if you consider the purpose of the honours list to be 'rewarding your mates and trolling Jeremy Corbyn' it makes perfect sense.

They know full well nobody will ever report on Claire Fox's past, because she's been on the 'right' side of the last five years (at least) from the press's perspective.

I dunno. I'd say that a morally ugly, politically abhorrent troll whose whole purpose is to make everyone's life a bit shitter is 100% on brand for this government.
