It's all relative. This is the problem with describing politics as a linear left and right when it is much closer to a circle, where fascists and communists are actually right next to each other in ideology and not at opposite ends of a spectrum

Neither a line nor a horseshoe, conceptualising it in space is the problem in the first place. Fascists and communists are clearly not 'right next to each other in ideology', which is why they have historically been mortal enemies not bedfellows. Historically, it is conservatives who have accomodated and empowered fascists, while liberals in power have tended to pay lip service to their concerns (hence Brown-era talk of 'the very real concerns of the white working classes' and proposal of 'British jobs for British workers' during the brief BNP ascendency).

Yeah the Molotov - Ribbentrop Pact never happened

But lets not take this off topic here though

Maybe worth considering how and why the Nazi party came to power in the first place here.

And also, a non-aggression pact isn't 'ideological similarity' either is it.

They'll probably sack whoever that was who was caught laughing about it in the fake press conference first and see if that appeases everyone

Reminder to everyone please not to be too flippant, as this is 'a great tragedy':

. . . in fact, she is 'honourable', a 'model for many in modern politics':

. . . 'a great talent', 'a bright spark':

. . . many people are saying this!

**** British journalists man. They had to do some unfortunate holding to account stuff for a few minutes there, hated every minute of it, now they can get back to their preferred cruise control state of saying wonderful things about how great each other are so they don't accidentally end up being left off the invitation list for the next Spectator party.

It’s pathetic isn’t it.

Her crocodile tears carried no weight with me whatsoever. But then, that’s the MO these days isn’t it, cry a bit on TV and people will feel sorry for you.

I could only enjoy such a resignation if it was with the knowledge that she was actually ruined. And if it was in the knowledge it wasn't just meat to satiate the mob and make the issue go away.

I really enjoyed her tearful resignation. Get to **** you word removed. See you never.

Sadly, I'm sure she'll be back in no time at all. The joys of every powerful person in the country either having gone to school with you, gone to uni with you, worked with you, had sex with you, or being currently married to you.

EDIT: To make that clear, that's not meant to be 'slut shaming' or anything, and indeed is not specifically referring to her, just to the observable general tendency for people in Westminster to have complicated relationships with each other.

Compared to pretty much any continental European country, he was.
