Jareth
Lazy Newcastle players will turn up for this and try to get a win that allows them the next five games off. They won't be worried playing us, so we need to hit em hard early on and make em dizzy. And if physical violence don't work we should try to score some goals also.
BleedClaretAndBlue
Remember last season when the Aston Villa mental mentality block kicked in and we conceded a last minute goal to lose for the millionth time
romavillan Posted February 26, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted February 26, 2015 frustrating narrow defeat i reckon, best I can see us doing is drawing an awful game. hopefully Sherwood and his new team can work a miracle in a week of training but I think it will take more time and it's time we don't have... PieFacE Posted February 26, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) 3-0 to Newcastle We'll setup in a Lambert style 4-3-3. We'll play long ball all game. Gil will be completely wasted on the wing. Ever the optimist eh.... Prove me wrong Villa!!! Edited February 26, 2015 by PieFacE

dn1982
I like Hutton defensively but I think Lowton needs a run as he does give us better quality going forward. We aren't going to win to nil so we need to score more and Lowton created loads when he played there granted he frost a bit but I think the pros out weighed the cons and at the minute we could desperately do with another Stoke goal!! So I'd go Guzan Lowton Okore Clark LB Cleverley westwood Delph Gil Beneteke Sinclair At LB I'd play who ever is fit in this order Hutton Cissokoho Baker

Jimzk5
If we really are down to the bones at the back what do we do? Delph has played there before and done ok, but do we really want to be putting our best midfielder in at LB? Who's our LB in the u21s?
