The correct lyrics are “my love has got no money, he’s got his strong beliefs”. The second half of that lyric isn’t as easy to decipher as the first, hence “he’s got his trombelse”. A mondegreen. For the record, her love also had no power and no fame. He did however have his strong beliefs. For what it’s worth, when it came out I used to sing “…he’s got his submarine”. I knew it was wrong, but it worked. I’m not sure why the picture has the person with the correct lyrics as sad and the misheard lyrics as happy. Ignorance is bliss, maybe?
