villa89 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 They won't lose 2 league games in a row. Crushing defeat for us. Why not? They're shite. Just marginally better than the rest of the shite that makes up the bottom 13 teams in the league.
Mantis Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I have a bet with a friend of mine who's a Spurs fans that we won't score - he may as well just give me the money now.
AndyM3000 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I wonder what type of crowd we'll get for this, 35K? I will set the line at 31,000 and I will take the under.
coda Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I have a bet with a friend of mine who's a Spurs fans that we won't score - he may as well just give me the money now. That's disgusting. You're friends with a Spurs fan? 4
pacbuddies Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Based on the fact that we couldn't even score against the worst team in the division I expect Spurs to win and our demise to continue.
DCJonah Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I'd like to see a reaction but the spurs players also need to show a reaction. At the end of the day they have better players and i have no faith that lambert could set us up or create a plan to combat that. I see nothing but a loss, it would be nice to give a good account of ourselves though.
BleedClaretAndBlue Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 0-3. Eriksen, Adebayor, Cissokho OG. Gonna be calls for his head in the stands. Dont know if I can bear to watch those scumbag fans singing in the away end all game long. They love their trips to VP. So easy for them. Such a joke of a club ffs.
AValon Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Just a scrappy 1-0, with an equally scrappy goal would do.
Jimzk5 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Our last point against spurs was in 2012, a 1-1 draw at villa park. Since then 0-2 3-0 4-0 0-4 3-0 Scored none. Conceded 16. Lost 5.

Popular Post heid3ster Posted October 29, 2014 Popular Post Posted October 29, 2014 Apparently Spurs fans are also saying (about their own team) that if you're desperate for a win there's no one better to play. I wonder if it's possible for both teams to lose. 6
ermie123 Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I can officially confirm that the plan for us against Spurs will Guzan in goal and the rest of them standing on the goal line all game desperately trying to keep the ball out of the Villa net! These will be new tactics for us and Lambert will be instilling these "new world tactics", into the team all week! Lambert is spending a lot of time on both FIFA 15 and Football Manager fine tuning this "wonder tactic", so its going to work "for sure". So the result will be 0-0 and all games for the rest of the season will also be 0-0 thus ensuring we have a brilliant goals against record! Totally ignoring the the goals for statistic!

PaulC Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I think they will be looking forward to this fixture having beaten us twice last season at Villa Park. We may get away with a draw at best.
Kingman Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 We Go Again!.. Must we? Spurs @ 23/20 I've got a 7.5T truck coming round tomorrow, Straight to Cash Converters!
ismail-villa Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 Is it bad that I'd be mildy happy to just see us score? I just know that we'll lose, it's almost inevitable.
Kingman Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 Aston Villa have scored just one goal in their last six Premier League matches against Tottenham, including failing to score in the last four meetings in a row. Emmanuel Adebayor has scored more goals against Aston Villa (7) than versus any other opponent in the Barclays Premier League. Adebayor has netted four in four Premier League starts for Spurs against the Villans. Tottenham have won eight and lost none of the last 11 Premier League matches against Aston Villa (D3). Andros Townsend has scored on his last two Premier League visits to Villa Park. Aston Villa have become the ninth different side to lose five successive Premier League games without scoring a single goal. The PL record is seven (Ipswich Town in 1995). The last time that Aston Villa went five league games without scoring was March 1992. They have never failed to score in six consecutive league games. Andreas Weimann has played a hand in 75% of Aston Villa's league goals so far this season, scoring two and assisting another. Tottenham have not drawn any of their last 37 Premier League games 0-0 - the longest run of its kind among the 20 current PL clubs. Spurs have scored more goals in the opening 30 minutes of their matches (5) than Aston Villa have managed all season (4).
Isa Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 This is one of those where I just can't envisage anything but a defeat.
