bose
I'd take a duo of Steve Kean and Kevin Keegan over this.

Dodgyknees
I thought Lambert deserved the chance to show what his side can do, He can no longer really argue that he hasn't had the chance. The Arsenal and Hull debacles were with almost everyone available, and still we were awful to watch. Something has to change, and with the transfer window shut the only thing that can be changed is the manager. Fair play mate. Let's hope it isn't too late. Players look shot. Cliffy Biro
The thing that infuriates me more than losing every week and failing to score every single week is that the man is so safe in his job, he wont be sacked after this and he won't be sacked if we lose the next 3. Popular Post Villanun
I've been thinking this for a while without posting it, but tonight I've reached breaking point. I understand that some people on here like Paul Lambert and want him to well (while still accepting that he's not working out at Villa and should go) and those people are entitled to their opinions, but I cannot agree. I actively dislike him, as a football manager and as a person. I haven't really liked him for a while, and I know that at least one of the things I dislike about him is something others see as a positive. But where other people admire his tendency to stick to his guns, I despise his stubborness in the face of overwhelming evidence that what he's trying isn't working. I dislike him in interviews; his insistence that everything is fine borders on the delusional, and I hate how little fight he shows. Mourinho might be an arrogant shit, but by talking about Lambert in this past week he drew attention away from the blatant playacting shown by his Chelsea players. I hate how he sits in the dugout, how reluctant he seems to take to the sidelines and direct players during matches. I have made a personal judgement of him based on what I've seen of him, and that judgement is that he is weak. My opinion of him really fell when he turned it back on the fans and told us that our expectations were beyond the reality at the club, just after losing to the bottom side in the league in a match where they scored one and could have had a hatfull more if David Nugent could hit a shot on target. I feel that my expectations are entirely reasonable: that after three seasons at the club, Lambert should have shown some signs of even basic competency, and that Villa have good enough players to not be skirting relegation year after year. I don't expect to win the league, I don't expect Europe, I don't even really expect us to finish in the top half of the table. But I do expect us to be comfortably safe. Does that sound unreasonable? But for me, the defining moment of Lambert's Villa career remains the moment that Nigel Pearson, on his own, confronted the entire Villa bench. I saw Andy Marshall arguing back, but where was Lambert? Cowering behind his notebook. Literally cowering. Lambert, that you are a failure is now inarguable. On top of that I add my own personal opinion; that you are weak, spineless, pathetic, and that you should get the hell out of my club.
Davkaus
Giving this worthless, talentless, charisma vacuum a new contract 4 games in to the season, after being shite for the previous 2 seasons, was possibly the worst decision in this club's history.

supernova26
Even the most "anti sacking manager" person in the world wouldn't be able to make a case for Lambert here. He needs to be gone.
