Stevo985 Posted April 1, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted April 1, 2014 To be fair, and I'm not united lover, Bayern did just as much diving and moaning at the ref as United did. More probably
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Pep got his tactics wrong. They played like a team set up around Messi, but they had Muller instead. Looked better (and scored) when they had a striker on the pitch.

coda
Rooney clearly overran that ball and was airborne before the tackle came in. No mention by ITV.

StanBalaban
All the pundits saying that Schweinsteiger was 'unlucky' with his second yellow, yet not one calling Rooney out for diving and then feigning injury. **** you Keys and Gray!
Con
First 20 minutes was key. Pep got the tactics wrong not starting Mandzukic. Bayern failed to score and ran out of effective ideas in the final third. An effective idea would have been to use the dominance of the flanks to get it to Mandzukic to knock down or head in. Even so, a fairly easy draw, away goal, and Bayern will be much better in the second leg. Home advantage and Man Utd have to score so they can't sit and defend. That could be the game where this Man Utd team gets crushed.

And whilst it's very admirable, I couldn't help thinking he probably wouldn't have been choking on his tongue if the guy didn't immediately roll him onto his back?
