Have you ever visited Israel, I have, none of the Israelis I met were “scum.” They were pretty decent people, As indeed were the Palestinians I met in the West Bank. There are fanatics of course The tragedy of the region is that they poison the water for those who simply wish for their children to live in peace.

There are always a few exceptions, Sid Cowans was another Although all three of those players, in my opinion, didn’t achieve the heights they reached before they left. -

I and a few friends went to a reunion of that 82 team in 2007 for the 25th anniversary of that great night. At the question and answer session Spinksy was asked when he was coming back from the dark side, as he was coaching at the sty. He replied “when I get offered a ***** job here” to great applause. Got the impression he would have walked on hot coals to come back. But like he says, he’s got a family that need a home.

Actually I bought one from the club shop about 4 or 5 years ago. They were selling unused training kit. Loved it. Reminded me of a time when the only emblem on the shirt was the club badge. I realise why they do it, but still think it turns players and fans into walking billboards. Oh for those long ago days when money didn’t dictate everything in the game. I’m getting old.

I agree to a point. But I still think that defence would have been dodgy anyway. Even with a better performing midfield I hope never to see that defensive selection again.

He’s actually saying he will stick to EU rules on Health and safety, workers rights, environment etc. Many of which we helped draw up. Labour should flip this on its head and ask if Sunak would abandon those specific rules. I think he’s actually boxing quite clever here. Let’s face it, if the Sun and Heil don’t like it, it’s got to be good.

Always seems loathe to pass the ball forwards, constantly looks for an offload sideways or backwards. Takes us an age to move out of defence with this guy. We miss Mings .
