  1. Seems pretty explicit to me what your implying. Or do you now think that Israel should remain where it is.
  2. You did. You said you they didn’t have a right to those lands, and should go somewhere else.
  3. Israel’s going nowhere, ever. They are there and they are there to stay. The sooner some people recognise that fact, the sooner there can be serious discussions about providing a State for the Palestinians, who also aren’t going to go away. Deal with the world as it is, not as you’d like it to be.
  4. The fact Dendoncker was brought on, shows our squad still isn’t strong enough yet.
  5. Simply haven’t matched them for enthusiasm or work rate. Disappointing.
  6. If places are earned on merit, Zaniolo won’t come out second half.
  7. That’s cause Cash simply won’t take on his full back, constantly knocks the ball back.
  8. Don’t hang about with this one, he looks a good un.
  9. We can but hope. With the advent of Tory TV ala GB News and Talk TV, it is more important than ever that power be held to account by mainstream media.
  10. If this thread is indicative of the level of reasoned engagement we could expect from any future negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians, there wouldn’t appear too much ground for optimism
  11. Have to say. The lowest level yet plumbed, was the statement about ethnic cleansing not inherently being a bad thing. Surely, on reflection, you can see just how wrong that is. Jews, Armenians, Bosnian Muslims,Chechnians, Tartars, and others throughout history, have suffered this. It is not and never will be acceptable under any circumstances.
  12. The Germans had an expression “ Juden Frei” In effect, ethnic cleansing of any German City. Ethnic cleansing in any context is not acceptable…ever.
  13. Wow. You lost me completely there. And I speak as someone who has sympathy with Israel.
  14. I wonder if a single person on this site has changed or modified their opinions due to reading these posts. I doubt it, and that in itself is indicative of the entrenched views on this issue. It’ll take both sides to move for any solution to be found. After the events of 7th October and after, I’d say we’re further away than ever.
  15. 2 nil up with 10 minutes to go, and they f***k it up. They never cease to amuse do they.
  16. The one thing guaranteed to make this situation even worse, would be for it to spread to other countries. Perhaps no one else is too keen to join this shit storm. Who can blame them.
  17. The original parliamentary 1921 act contained provisions for the two territories to be reunited. It was the threat of civil war and the refusal of the Protestant majority In Ulster to accept unification that led to the rather sad division we have now. But I still say, the British Parliament was not averse to a United Ireland.
  18. You need to do a little more research. Britain was prepared for the whole of Ireland to move towards Independence. It was the threat of armed resistance by Carters loyalists that led to the Protestant majority in Ulster breaking from that. None of which has any relevance to Palestine at all.
  19. Who else behaves like Hamas? They’re hitting pop festivals. Absolute bastards. Doesn’t get us very far does it.
  20. What’s happening now in Gaza, is called war, and it’s horrible. That’s what war is. There’s never been a war, ever, that didn’t result in innocents dying. It’s the ultimate example of human failure. No amount of handwringing will ever change that. Israel was attacked by a viscious, hate filled terrorist entity called Hamas, and innocents died, and has reacted violently, and innocents have died. Israel will ultimately have to decide what their ultimate goal is in this awful conflict. God knows where this will end. Probably, back where we’ve been for the last 75 years.
  21. He also called the 7th October atrocities “ a glorious operation”. How on earth do you negotiate with people with that kind of mindset.
  22. Must be difficult to tell who’s an away fan in Uniteds end. They pull in plastics from all over the country anyway. Perhaps those massive grins on the Geordies faces gave them away
  23. Really. The Aussies who were taken prisoner by the Japanese in Singapore, fought some of the most vicious battles in Burma, New Guinea, Australian naval forces who took part in operations in the Pacific. Even, for a short period, Vietnam in the 60s. Not exactly wars fought on the other side of the world. Perhaps we do need Poppies to remind us after all
