  1. One time I'm glad of VAR, we weren't getting anything out that ref. I can't imagine how frustrating it would have been for our boys. Well done for keeping their heads. Professional.
  2. There's no way Chambers is better than Kesler Hayden. I'd rather we'd have kept him around.
  3. Tielemens already looks like he wants to leave. Leicester did warn us.
  4. Not withstanding the lack of thought of how this will impact fans who go and watch live, for those with partners, could you get away with watching that much football on weekend? I simply can't justify watching more than 2 games a weekend. There's no way I could watch 7-8 games a over the weekend without it negatively affecting my wife and kids, in that I wouldn't be as available as I currently am. This proposal of more fixture slots would blatantly be a way of getting the Premier League (TM) in front of more eyes around of the world. I can see why the clubs would want it, but how many are going to watch Burnley vs Luton at the new time slots? All the glamour fixtures will be played late at night.
  5. Never a pen, but Utd can't complain. They get those kinds of decisions in their favour all the time.
  6. Some good news, football paedophile Barry Bennell has died in prison, aged 69.
  7. I don't honestly see the need for anyone to own a fighting dog of any breed. I had a staffy in my younger days before kids and there's no way I'd consider one now. I was wrong then. Even with more docile breeds, the general rule of thumb is that you can never trust them 100%. Why increase the risk? The ban itself is a good first step but it needs to be enforced and regulated. This is where the Tories will fail, as there's no money in it for their mates. It's only the plebs dying and being attacked. Tarquin is alright in his gated community.
  8. As a local, I can see the impact of all the Tory cuts. No police station, no A&E, no new services to support a significant population increase due to house building, worsening school standards, a town centre that's empty, 12% unemployment, and an increase in crimes such as burglary and theft. On top of all that, over the last 13 years Tamworth's average salary has gone down. I can't believe that nearly 50% of the town will vote for more of the same.
  9. The Tamworth seat is being merged with Walsall after the next general election too. No Tory who fancies a long career is going to go for this one.
  10. Nice chap too. He works at my son's school and whilst he was mayor is was very involved with the scouts. Met him a few times, he's very involved and aware of local issues. We had the labour candidate knocking doors a couple of weeks ago canvassing for opinions on what's important locally.
  11. There's only one for me, Nii Lamptey. I was addicted to CM93/94, and when we signed him I thought we'd signed a player who'd become a global superstar. I told everyone I knew how good he was. My football judgement has been in question ever since.
  12. For as bad as Punk is, how long did he last in WWE where he hated it in comparison to AEW? Not counting injuries and the time he missed due to the backstage "incident", how long was he with AEW for? A year? Shows how much more unprofessional it really is. I don't agree with his more extreme views, but Cornette's view of this incident and also the people running AEW is bang on.
  13. Sorry, missed the 1992 bit.
  14. There are different power on options in BIOS. Not sure on your model of Asus laptop, but if you Google the BIOS power on options for your Asus model you might find what you're looking for.
  15. Just wait till a roof collapses on a room of kids. He'll be amongst the first out with the "thoughts and prayers" messages, whilst not admitting any culpability. Vote Tory. The media should be crucifying him for gambling with the safety of thousands of children.
  16. I did say Punk was out of order the way he reacted, but his frustration is understandable, in my opinion. He was asked by the management team to have a word with Perry as he wasn't listening to them, and then Perry does it anyway. I don't get why anyone would have a problem with Regal, it's another example of how much of a loudmouth Punk is. I agree with you wholeheartedly there.
  17. I don't think you're being very fair here. Punk has obviously handled things very badly, but there's more to this than has been mentioned here. Many people backstage had asked Jack Perry not to do the spot with real glass, and he wasn't having it. They asked Punk to say something to him, which he did, and then Perry not only does the spot but also mocks Punk with his "Cry Me A River" comment on live TV directly afterwards. If I was Punk I'd be very annoyed that not only did Perry mock him, but also not do what he'd been told by the management and bookers. Tony Khan's lack of control and the lack of fallout for anything backstage for previous incidents has led to this. Punk is obviously a ship's cat, but AEW backstage is unprofessional and disorganized. This has been proven time and again and is beyond dispute. I don't think its in any way fair Punk is being made the scapegoat.
  18. I honestly don't see any down side to this. We have 4 fit centre halves, so we can be effective and have cover when we play either 2 or 3 of them. We now have 3 centre halves who have played Champions League football with very established teams, 2 of which have played international football at the highest level. They can all carry the ball out of defence, which is what Unai prefers. I'm not saying that Lenglet is the 2nd coming of McGrath, but whilst at Spurs last season the team as a whole were still in with a shout of European football on the final day. As poor as they were, it's only poor by their recent standards. Lenglet is not a bad player by any stretch of the imagination. Also, does Lenglet's style fit with Conte? From what I've seen of Conte's teams he prefers a more robust defender, in the style of Chiellini. At the very worst, we now have another year to scout another CB should Ty not come back the same player. With regards to his salary, players that get to clubs at the standard of Barca aren't on peanuts. We just need to be careful not to shop at these teams all the time.
  19. Don't disagree with any of the above, but to me it seems there's plenty who should be getting a look in for an international friendly. Maguire being picked is a combination of bias and belligerence now. He has no future at utd and was behind Luke Shaw for a CB slot.

    Chelsea

They keep buying all these squad players at record prices that might become great, but in my opinion until they have a good spine through the team it's entirely pointless. I can't see them getting it right for a while yet. Champions league is a long way back for Chelsea, they can look forward to more 2nd round League cup draws for a long while.
  21. It's not like there's nobody else to pick, even to see how they handle the experience. Fit and playing CB's off the top of my head include Tomori, White, Dunk, our own Ezri, Guehi, Chalobah, and Colwill have got to deserve it more than Maguire currently. Even Kilman at Wolves should be ahead of him.
  22. SRS confirmed it, info came from the family to avoid speculation.
  23. I'm surprised he didn't die in the ring, all the death matches, barbed wire matches. He gave everything.
  24. Terry Funk, a wrestling legend and hardcore style pioneer, gone at 79. Didn't finally stop wrestling until 2017, after starting in 1965.
