  1. His overall win record is padded out as well because we play many more lower ranked teams than we ever used to, especially at the major tournaments. There are more teams at the World Cups and Euros than there have ever been. Both were competitions that were for elite national teams until Fifa and Uefa greed took priority over the football. Not taking anything away from the lower ranked teams that do qualify, we just play more of them now. His record against the top teams is what he should be judged on, and this is fairly awful considering the players we have. We're only a centre half and goalie away from having one of the strongest first XI's in international football.
  2. But that's not that all the 115 charges relate to. There's proof they've been paying staff and players two salaries, and a lot of these are no longer with the club. Surely they don't have to wait till all claims have been proved substantial? You wouldn't let a mass murderer walk free because you couldn't yet prove they didn't murder 1 of their victims 15 years ago. You'd try them on what you have then take them back to court later on.
  3. I wonder if they paid extra for the apostrophes? "Right mate, can do you a sweet little deal on apostrophes"... "Shut up and take my money".
  4. By the same token the charges go back further than the other clubs that have been charged. They've had far longer to prove this.
  5. And Man City still haven't been charged... This is getting ridiculous now.
  6. In the wrong hands this is always going to be awful. However Don't Breathe was pretty good, and Alvarez doesn't need to stray too far from that to make a good Alien movie. I prefer the first Alien to James Cameron's sequel because of the atmosphere, which Don't Breathe has in places. I'm hopeful (Not trying to start a debate on alien Vs aliens, both are great films).
  7. It'd be really interesting to know how many Tory MP's are from these poor parts of the country, especially the front benchers and cabinet. Because not one of them give a Castlemaine four x about the constituents. A quick Google doesn't give this info, and I'm too lazy to do the research whilst at work.
  8. Walking around is a great way of helping your stomach, so, yes is the answer. Especially if it's related to your digestive system. (I'm not an expert by any means, but I've gone the rabbit hole of having a stoma on more than one occasion)
  9. I suspect that she's thin because she's an incredibly in demand woman in the public eye who's expected to look very glamorous, and that's a hell of a lot of pressure to put on her. Most people who have significant stomach surgery lose weight simply because they can't eat solids at first, then have to build it back up. This may account for the extra weight loss, and not anorexia. It's an awful label to put on someone.
  10. Agree with this. I was bleeding out of my back passage for 9 months after first seeing a GP, in constant agony, before I saw a specialist. They fobbed me off and said to me to come back in 6 months and to see if it was still happening. Made a GP appointment the next day to see somebody else and was quickly sent for an urgent referral at a different trust. A week later I was immediately hospitalized after seeing an amazing consultant and two weeks later I was diagnosed with UC and feeling better after being hooked up to IV steroids.
  11. Omeprazole is for acid reflux usually, it's not for pain. I take it as I get chest pain that feels like a heart attack, and that totally clears the symptoms. Regarding some of the issues you've reported, they could be auto immune related. I have UC, an auto immune condition, and over the last 2 years I've been diagnosed with a few other conditions including Reynauds, Bile acid malabsorbtion, and reactive arthritis. I've also been diagnosed with multiple undiagnosed autoimmune conditions that overlap, which I may never get an answer on. The main thing I'm trying to say is that the more tests they do the more they can rule out cancer and other diseases that can end life prematurely. Unfortunately, with autoimmune diseases the saying that misery loves company is especially true. The majority of people with a single autoimmune disease will go on to have others. Fortunately, a lot of medicines for these conditions overlap, and once they figure out the right meds for person to be on life can improve. I changed my UC medication to suit both the UC and arthritis and I have no joint pain most of the time. I may be well off the mark, but I'm just trying to give you hope that things go get easier, once you get on track with the tests. Unfortunately it just takes time. Best of luck.
  12. My lad's football team won the Staffordshire u12's league today, beating Wolves, Stoke, and Burton Albion amongst others a few times on the way. They beat Wolves again today with my son scoring from outside the box into the top corner. So proud. What makes me really happy though is that this league is for children on the spectrum, or with other conditions that impact learning. When they got the trophy after the game, all the kids were hugging and high fiving. Kids from the other teams were joining in too. If you know of any kids on the spectrum, you'll know they struggle with social boundaries, touch, and noise. To see them overcome this and come together is truly magical. Also very grateful for all the people that give their time to make it happen for these kids, including coaches, refs, and the admin.
  13. A lot of these SUV issues would be better if public transport was effective and reasonably priced. I have a Seat Ateca for the main reason we love going places with our dog, and the Ateca gives us the space we need for him and us. If I could take a family of 4 on a train to the beach for less than the cost of a holiday deposit I'd be inclined to do that instead. Then factor in reliability and punctuality of public services then it's a no brainer. I do agree that quite a lot of people like to own certain SUVs because of the brand though. These people are morons, usually driven by people in gym gear who never go to the gym.
  14. The worst thing is that most of the Tories knew exactly what he was but went along with him anyway. I know we're not supposed to like him, but in the rise and fall.... Corbyn's views on him were funny. You could tell he didn't say what he wanted to, but knew exactly what he meant.
  15. People's attitudes to it are so relaxed. Walking through town with my family last weekend, there was a bloke in his forties with his family, he had a big fat joint behind his ear and he stank of it. I think I it smell more often than cigarette smoke now.
  16. As a former soldier, this is a terrible idea. Morale would be destroyed if you couldn't trust the people working with you, so conscripting people who don't want to be there would be ridiculous. Soldiers take real pride in being professional. It would be devastating to undermine that.
  17. Finished "The Rise and Fall of Boris Johnson". Obviously made me very angry, but at the end of the 4th episode I said to my wife that they've left out so much. They could have made 40 episodes, so much was left out or barely covered. All that Labour need to do at the next election is get people to watch this. Every single Tory knew what he was, and yet they went along with him every step of the way. Special mentions to Hancock and Javid for continuing to lie about having morals and being ignored. Words removed.
  18. Best theory I've heard is that Kate's "disappearance" and lack of clarity on it is being used to distract people from Gaza and Ukraine. People love their celebrity driven news.
  19. Relegated them the year after they got to the UEFA cup final, signed Alfonso Alves for £12million, and sold Yakubu who was replaced by Mido.
  20. No chance Maguire misses out, unless through injury. His preferred team is Pickford Walker Stone Maguire Trippier Rice Bellingham Philips/Henderson Saka Kane Foden/Rashford What's frustrating is that Walker won't get forward, Henderson will drop behind Stones and Maguire to get the ball and slow us down, Rice won't be much different even though he's shown he's good in a more offensive role for Arsenal, Bellingham won't be able to push forward like he does for Real, and Foden won't be effective having to chase balls over the top down the channels. That's without Kane dropping into midfield and RB.
  21. But then that becomes another philosophical question, does logical decision making trump emotive decision making? Based on the pure maths, logic tells us that the good of many will quickly outweigh the good of the few, or the individual. Human emotion would likely put the person at risk as the most important in the scenario, especially if it was someone close to you. Socrates would have loved this. We can also see this played out at national level, with the Tory response to Covid, in my opinion. And this is a very emotive subject.
  22. Have the Sheff Utd players got a bet on being the first team to concede 5 goals at home 3 games in a row? They're crap, might as well make some money from it.
