Sometimes it feels like these agencies want to maximise their time in the spotlight. What are they gonna say? We are monitoring it, but our job with this virus is pretty much done for now?

No, but how about 30 on Tammy, 30 on a killer winger, 30 on a new solid AM to replace Barkley and 10m for a LB cover? That seems like a very good summer to me.

Tammy is a PL ready striker. Barry is a 17 year old that, while very promising, might not even make it in professional football in 3 years time. More promising players have struggled to follow through, although I hope we have a real jewel there. Plus, I think Tammy is more of a 30m striker now which is a price the club would be willing to pay.

But we only have 1 very good striker. Bring in Tammy, and get either of Davies/Wesley on loan.

Leicester have 2 very good strikers and play with 1 up front. No reason Villa couldn't do that.

But aren't most volnourable now vaccinated? Are there studies to show vaccines dont work on the Indian variant? If we add 10k cases of young people and kids who are most likely to have little or no symptoms, what is the major problem considering widespread testing now available? Surely deaths/hospitalisations will not be in high 10s or 100s anymore?

I'm a cynic, so I believe the rumour of 'nothing is ruled out' from Boris is nothing but the government countering the 'let the bodies pile high' comment from last week. I hate politics; I might be wrong but I think there are many vulnerable people, sitting at home, watching too much TV, and worrying about this sort of stuff just so politicians score a few kudos points with a certain group of voters. These sort of comments from the PM are disrespectful and damaging.

I guess to be top at anything, you have to be ready for all neuances. I bet if Hamilton drove a NASCAR he would not "feel" the car like the pros due to a million different factors that us mortals don't even think about.

If Dean Smith went out and talked about how much the team is lacking after every loss, the team would quickly turn on him. Surely any leader must have a bit more of a drive to make his team/party think they are a bit better than they actually are and install some sort of a 'winner mentality' ? -
I thought that, but there are sports that are 'easier' than others and professionals aren't as good in them. I recently found out that professional Chess players really struggle in the draughts competitions against draughts players. I wonder, if you put Hamilton in a Nascar competition, would he still be the best driver just because he is very good at Formula 1?

Well, Van Dijk is called one of the best Liverpool defenders and he only played 2 full seasons for them.

It's not a boring season, but you can't get an exciting relegation battle, title battle and mid table battles. Relegation is decided, the tile was decided 4 weeks ago, but the fight for European places is really interesting. from 10th to 4th place it can all still change and that means a lot of 'big' teams will miss out on Europe.
