  1. It's a bit like if someone was telling you your hot wife is leaving you. You've been happily married, there is no reason to assume she wants to leave, last year she has gone over her vows yet again, but people are telling you she is going because she is hot with no evidence whatsoever. You'd get pissed off.
  2. I'm sure the minimum wage club shop assistant's are in the know about multi million £ dealings of our foreign ownership and heroically stop people from spending £20 quid to have a name printed.
  3. Once again, why are many of you thinking it's looking bad or that he is leaving? Can anyone point to any tangible evidence of this?
  4. An agent is doing a job for you. They are offering expert knowledge into football contracting and have an excellent network of people in footballing world. Most transfers in the world happen because an agent knows someone in a club and they can discuss their players services at that point. Do you really think Grealish spent his holiday in Greece calling the Manchester Sheikh's seeing if they can fit him into the team next season? An agent is doing a job that the player: a) does not have time to do b) can not do as well and would end up with a worse outcome Just like a hairdresser or a lawyer or a mortgage broker, or a chef at a restaurant or a taxi driver. They are simply offering a service to the players that the football clubs pay for. It's a win win for everyone involved.
  5. When you bought a house did you use a mortgage broker? When you go to court do you use a lawyer? Do you cut your own hair or use the services of someone who can do it for you? Because you could do all those things on your own if you really wanted to. Football agents are not leeches, they are just doing an agents job - get the best deal for everyone, including them. And if an agents bags a few million £ while doing so, well, the football club that hired their player must be happy to pay it.
  6. Great, so he signed with them 10 months ago. I expect better from this club. Everyone out.

    Ice Cream

According to some, ice lollies, callipo etc are not ice cream. I enjoy callipos, but I will have to agree. An ice CREAM has to be based on cream, not frozen sugary water.
  8. Why do you think that football just does not care about Olympics? Surely it's not purely about money? Or is it? Also, are there other examples of sport that put out poor/young players to complete instead of the elite?
  9. I wonder, how far can those stupid ideas be pushed. One day, when we have a 96 team world cup hosted by Peru, Azerbaijan and Faroe Islands, surely someone, somewhere, has got to stop and think that this is stupid. Of course, at that point the World Cup will be a biannual event. Sure, it makes some people enough money to buy a 2nd yach, granted. But surely this insane trend has got to stop? Football is better (for a lack of a better word) than many other sports because of its international rarity, difficulty to achieve the top honours and prestige.
  10. I went to several shops this morning including a big Tesco and everyone still had masks on, maybe with a one or two exceptions. Has anyone seen anything different?
  11. If he leaves they will look like idiots. Jack isn't leaving, but if he was, I don't want my club to comment on speculation and have our dic** hanging out.
  12. If it grows on you, should I go a size up or just buy the regular fit?
  13. I think, from experience, there is a big difference between rowdy English fans and the eastern European/Italian/neo-nazi/hooligan types. The latter are dangerous criminal group, but very much in the underground. They will leave you alone when you have your meal in the centre of Warsaw, and will not cause you issues when walk around Rome. They are often real criminals with a certain sense of "honour" (bullshit in my view) and "rules". The pricks of the highest order but as long as you keep to yourself unlikely to cause you trouble. Rowdy English fans are much more common, and will shit in a fountain, whistle on girls, cause older couples to leave restaurants through their behaviour, be sick after 6 pints of cheap beer. They will walk topless through cities and sing songs about "a fuc**** shithole" they happen to be in. There seems to be more hooligan types in other countries, but many more drunken idiots in England. So I think comparing the two is a bit pointless because they are two different groups.
  14. Nothing wrong with opening a can at 8am. Nothing wrong with having 8 cans before a game, or having vodka shots in a weatherspoons at 11am. It's when you abuse people, shit in a fountain and puke outside Tesco's that the problem starts.
  15. Southgates idea to piss off Grealish.
  16. Why do you want Denmark to have an unfair advantage?
  17. When I'm 6 months behind on my mortgage I will tell my bank it seems counter intuitive to take my house away as it will put me under more financial pressure. Barcelona (and any other business run in a similar fashion) need to pay up.
  18. Long Covid is a very interesting thing, because, well, it's not quantifiable or empirically verifiable. If in 2019 you had a tough cold/flu and spent a week at home in bed, you would likely feel like shit for another 2/3 weeks. Your muscles would ache, your excercise routine would go out of the window, you would likely feel depressed because you didn't enjoy the sun with your mates. It's normal after any ilness. Heck, if I told anyone in 2019 to sit at home and that thousands are dying, you are likely to be depressed and get little sleep, thus feeling rough. So what is Long Covid, and how can it be brought into the discussion? I have a mate who had the virus in May last year, and for 6 months he said he can't run, he gets tired and isn't in best shape. He also eats several bars of chocolate a day, 3 beers a night, and sits in front of a computer working 60 hours a week, often in late evenings. And he has a go at me for questioning his "long covid". I'm sure many people do experience Long Covid - but it's a very slippery discussion to be having.
