  1. If for the rest of the season he performed like he did against Everton, and the price tag was £20m, would you take him?
  2. That's true, but suppliers of fruit and veg have to pay for packaging? So why does Tesco pay extra if they can, I don't know, not pack avocados or leeks or apples?
  3. Everyone talks about reducing emissions, caring for environment, looking after the planet. Good. We should do that. Can someone explain why there isn't a law that says major retailers can't put fruit and veg in plastic packaging? Why do I have to pick up leeks covered in foil in Tesco's? Why are apples packaged in plastic? Why do avocadoes have plastic cover, and a plastic thing on which they sit? Manufacturers must pay big money for all that plastic and it's simply not needed - as far as I can tell, a customer doesn't benefit from this packaging at all. Why does no one talk about this as an issue, yet plastic straws are somehow frowned up? I bet quantity of plastic straws vs unnecessary plastic packaging isn't even a close race.

What's actually changed/been added to BMH? Is it that gym section that wasn't there before? What were the gym facilities like before? Anything else that might have not been shown/mentioned in the video?
  5. Yup. Virus is also not contagious to the rich who have no problem with paying £5k.
  6. It's a horrible situation and I hope you/any close ones are ok. At the same time, in some parts of the world it isn't a horrible situation anymore. So I don't think that the parts of the world which have very little risk should suffer governmental restrictions if there is no/little data to back their policies. As for helping other countries like India, sure, I am all for that, but I am not knowledgeable enough to know how so I will leave that to others. Let's say UK gave up 50 million vaccines, wouldn't that be a drop in the ocean of India's needs? Also, UK isn't fully vaccinated yet, so can a UK Government risk lives of people here to save others? Difficult questions which I have no answers for.
  7. International holidays are also low on my priority list. But seeing my dad and my kid seeing his grandparents is pretty high. I can't help the fact that some countries haven't had the vaccines and I'm sorry you are in that situation. But UK has had the vaccines, so more freedom should be given to us as we pose little risk to anyone.
  8. But right now aren't we talking about a theoretical danger of vaccine resistant variants? While it seems that the South African strain is more resistant, the people who have caught it after having the vaccine only experienced mild symptoms (if they even got infected as they still have some protection) and as far as I can find in research, no deaths in such cases have been recorded. There could always be a new variant, sure. But right now that doesn't seem to affect the vaccinated population badly.
  9. How much money is too much money? And why? I really agree with the spirit of what you are saying, but I feel that it's an emotional argument rather than one based on the rights of ownership and free market that those clubs were purchased under. Too much money is subjective and open to discussion while at the end of the day, Man U, Villa or Southampton are owned by someone - they are someone's business. We may not like it as fans, but someone owns those teams. So I'd be careful with putting restrictions on these clubs. What I would do instead is hold them accountable to their books - if West Ham want to buy Mbappe for £500m, pay him £1m a week and pay the agent £100m that is absolutely fine in my opinion. But they will go bust because that will bring them greater debt and it will not be a good investment. It will generate a loss. Give teams like Villa or Everton a real chance to compete financially with Man Utd or Chelsea. But if it goes south, hold them accountable.
  10. I wonder, very likely next year we will still have 1-10 deaths a day, much like with flus etc. Will this sort of control/regulation still be happening?
  11. Considering that majority of people are now vaccinated (nearly all at any serious risk) and the fact that it looks like travel will be severely restricted, it is a conspiracy to suggest the politicians in charge want us to get back to normal.
  12. I too think that Souness talking shit must have contributed to Jack's injury.
  13. Call me uninformed, but what are they protesting exactly? Their transfer money is judge, they get top managers that they quickly sack, they have massive sponsorship deals, they will be in yet another European final... Sport wise, what exactly is wrong on the red side of Manchester?
  14. If there is no punishment, I say we get ourselves down to VP and protest on pitch until Grealish is recovered
  15. Murphy making a come back, it would be good to see him against Bingham in the final.
  16. There should be a precedent rule set in the PL based on that season. Each ref from game 1 should watch every controversial call so that when something like our Brighton game happened in week 3 and a similar accordance happened 5 weeks later in a different match, the ref should be able to recall that decision and make a similar ruling. Of course, if a wrong decision has been made, the next time a similar thing happens the ref should revise the decision accordingly and set it right for future matches. It's easy enough for us fans to remember "tough" calls so the ref should be able to revise and remember these. But I can guarantee people like *Mike Dean don't give a shit about Palace Vs West Brom fouls.
  17. I'm a bit split on the whole social media boycott. I mean, it's great. Clubs taking action on an important issue. I'm all for that. But why only 3 days? Why don't they quit a platform that they feel does not support their values? Or boycott until action is taken, rather than 3 days? I have a feeling it's because Adidas or Nike or Samsung or Audi or Emirates Airlines won't like that a club doesn't post a picture with their logo on it 3 times a day. But if money is the cost of keeping to values such as fighting racial abuse, it's a bit of an empty protest for me.
  18. I reckon they can't find anyone, Mason gets a 3 year contract and gets sacked in January with Spurs sitting in 7th place and still in both cups. It's probably the most predictable outcome.
  19. I've just read that Chelsea are looking to bring back Lukaku for around £90m. Haven't they just signed a £50m striker? Although it looks like out of the 6, Chelsea and Man City are financially in the best situation. Still, if I spend a £50 on a pair of shoes that turn out shit and I buy another pair for £90 (that I previously owned and sold to my mate for £30) my mrs (i.e. the CFO) would crucify me.
  20. Absolutely - but to say he can't coach or get good results from this bunch of players (or that those players are not good enough to get these results) is stupid.
  21. People know that Smith coached Luiz, Konsa, Cash, Targett, ElGhazi and Barkley for the excellent run of for at the start of the season right?
  22. Are you suggesting Eric Dier won't be up to that job?!
  23. It's incredible how the human brain works - while it's not healthy, they should learn to adapt, (and it's a bit stupid to live in fear of this virus) I don't blame your colleagues at all. We are programmed to think that so many people die - not that the mortality is somewhere around the 1-1.5% for the average person, and if you look after yourself, exercise, don't eat shit, that mortality is likely to drastically drop down further. We tend to look at the worst case scenarios. I know flying is mostly safe, but I hate flying and I'm scared of it. I do fly, and I know it's stupid to fear it, but I can't help it. While I'm terrified, I know I have to get on with it because it's incredibly unlikely something bad will happen in an airplane. I wonder if the people who are terrified of the virus will live to think similarly? Surely it won't be like this in 2025?
  24. What if someone doesn't want to be vaccinated? Don't get me wrong, I am all for vaccines and once my time comes I will get one, but surely a personal decision of an individual (which they have every right to make) can't hold the whole company hostage?
