  1. And why are they well set up? The manager setting them up properly with a game plan and tactics. We have a manger incapable of that because he thinks everybody in our squad is as good as he was and there not and he can’t get his head around that. Not having a go by the way but seeing sides well organised as a reason for out playing us makes me angry because your right but this is our mangers job! He literally gets paid a fortune to ensure we are organised and know what we are doing. Feels like that mega training ground must have been a waste of money because we clearly aren’t using it
  2. He won’t I agree but can anyone see him getting on the bench ahead of say Gallagher or loftus cheek ? And if he does will he ever get on the pitch
  3. A lot of blame has to lie with the glaziers but watching Neville and redknapp yesterday something Neville said interested me when he was on about the stadium etc was that they had £350 million in the bank three years ago and now they are down to £30 million. Is that suggesting that they are now not making the money they used to be? I think Utd are a victim of their own size because they are almost unbuyable with the figures the glaziers would to see the club. Add the near billion in debt and rising its not as appealing as it once was. Side note why does Gary Neville get to use sky sports as his own Utd podcast
  4. And has played 12 games or so in the premier league. He might turn out to be a world beater but he might also be a loftus cheek style player that’s stuck with Chelsea and got to 26 and not even got close to 100 games. Either way the lack of games I think he will get are not our problem anymore
  5. Fairly simple for me if he isn’t going to sign which looks likely we pop him in to the lowest level of training we have to do we don’t waste anymore money on developing him for someone else. we can concentrate on developing lads that do want to play for us and he can ponder how he gets into Barcelona’s team while not getting any development for a year. remember we owe this lad nothing and he owes us nothing however I just don’t see how he gets into a side higher up the food chain given the 14 or so games he has played
  6. Welcome to mens football son. Nothing much in the challenge for me
  7. I completely agree. At 18 hardly started a premier league game, if you get a decent contract offer from your current established premier league club you sign it and carry on your development because the club clearly rate you and if they didn’t they wouldn’t waste money paying your wages. The attitude to the contract offer by him is one of a player who has played 50+ games preformed well and has a que of suitors at his door. He does not as far as I am aware so could potentially wast a year of what isn’t a very long career because he rates himself more than anyone else does.
  8. I just can’t see it. I think Bielsa did a phenomenal job of making what is a mid table championship team with 2 very good players (both of whom will not be there next season) massively over perform. He knew that ran them into the ground to the point that it stopped working and went at the right time for him before it all went completely wrong. my personal view is take out Phillips and raphina they had and still have a bottom 3 squad. My opinion under bielsa was that if you don’t match the running you will get beaten and a few lazy sides did but match the work rate and the reality of how bad copper, ayling, glick, bamford, James, etc really are became very obvious.
  9. To fair jukewicz is younger than deeney but that’s a fairly shocking front 3 probably all on the highest wages at the club too. Jukewicz does annoyingly have a tendency to get them a goal in games they really should lose so I would say he has probably kept them up the last few years
  10. With Phillips gone raphina all but gone with a side that for the most part last season I thought were pathetic especially when Phillips wasn’t there I really am surprised that people think this has been a good window for them. I think it looks disastrous for them
  11. I would hold that thought with Leeds. If they keep Phillips and raphina then yes probably but I think they are both likely to leave and I would say that leaves them weaker than last season arguably
  12. It’s a very Everton signing if that goes through. The guy is shit and hasn’t been near the first team for two years. if Everton sign him and tarkowski I can’t really see how they are improving on the current squad while also likely loosing richarleson they could be in real trouble again
  13. Crazy thing with that statement is that his own captain and undroppable striker has not played champions league football for 3 years. Although to be fair Southgate might have written his transfer request for him last summer
  14. Good deal for us I think. Signed a player in our first season back who at the time we probably slightly overplayed for but who also helped us establish ourselves in the premier league and then shipped on for a profit when we outgrew him. let’s remember he went on loan because he wasn’t good enough to be our first choice left back.
  15. Southgate has that nack of making good players look poor and idealess and those subs **** me
  16. Just a thought here but is Jack in danger of becoming a bit of a parody? Just looking in the paper and the stories are about him partying on holiday with d list celebrities. let’s be honest this season he hasn’t really been in the papers for his football this season and I think from a personal perspective (not a trophy perspective) his performances have been very poor compared to the previous two seasons. He seems to me to be in danger of getting more paper time for his off the field shambles than what he does on it. he is getting paid a fortune every week and picking up trophies for watching his team mates play so I doubt he cares but i do wonder if we are seeing a wasted talent being driven by a poor greedy agent.
  17. Free transfer!!!!! Seems like a crazy good bit of business to me
  18. I found it a strange game it had a very end of season feel to it from us where we dominated the ball for large parts but the urgency to go after the win seemed lacking a little bit. Also I found it odd because I hate Leeds and want them to go down so I went into the game wanting us to maybe not win but as soon as the game kicks off that’s gone and I’m desperate for the win. Difficult to pick to much out really. I thought mings and chambers looked good and they block from mings was incredible although the guy shouldn’t have gave him a chance to block. The full backs ads looking decent and overall we looked very comfortable. a note as well for nick pope, the guy had a terrific game but that save from Bert was world class
  19. I agree I think mcginn is becoming a problem. One of those that’s mangers seem to think is ok and the are more desperate areas to deal with but I think he is really holding the team back I think we have evolved beyond him.
  20. I agree let Leeds go down just to shut the media up. Although to be fair I think they might have realised Leeds are shit. I haven’t heard them saying Leeds are everyone’s second favourite team like they did up until about February
  21. It’s called brexit. Not getting into the leave/remain thing but the leave vote has emboldened the racist with this send every foreigner “home” thing. It’s seen the rise of the right wing
  22. To be fair the tourists don’t got to away games I imagine
  23. Agree with this sentiment, what club outside of the top 4 wouldn’t want the option of Phil or emi either starting together or one coming of the bench after 65 minutes to replace the other. Let lack of drop in quality when making subs has never been available to a manger before at Villa that I can remember. It’s always been first 11 then a bit of a drop of a cliff in terms of quality. add into the mix Bailey, carney and Bert you can start to see a squad being developed and yes we might swap out say Bert for an upgrade but it’s like night and day compared to 3/4 years ago
  24. It always happens these pundits are so lazy they don’t look into the details of how teams develop or don’t in some cases. The idea that Leeds has a good first season and would keep pushing forward despite not really signing anyone (I don’t count Dan James because he is a clown) was stupid not giving any thought to the idea that they over achieved or that established premier league teams can’t adapt to deal with a side that runs around a lot and throws everyone forward. The reality is the league got wise and learnt how to pick them off hence why they are on the verge of having the worst defensive record in history. it reminds me a little bit of Sheffield Utd last season. Ten games in and they hardly had a point on the board but still pundits were saying they will be ok look at what they did last season. It doesn’t work like that against top teams
  25. He has been running round like he is the big man enforcer for a few weeks and yesterday proved he is as shit at that as he is at actual football. This red card was going to happen soon enough
