  1. Your wrong about the £120 million over 2 seasons this season alone they have spent over £150 million and no idea what they spent last year but yep still starting ayling, copper still in the squad Bamford starts regularly when fit. They have spent all that money and yet still have a wafer thin squad that has no premier league quality and I don’t think would be a certain to get them out the championship. I do wonder what the financial situation would be too because I imagine the is some big wages there for a championship side to pay. I think the only place they haven’t over spent on is the ground which is seemingly vying with old Trafford for the most dilapidated. It’s times when I’m writing this I realise how much I love Naz and Wes
  2. They are a pathetic team they really are proper forest gump running around all over the place with no clue, no quality and no plan. But hey isn’t this the Leeds side sky told us we all loved because they ran around losing games 5-3
  3. Long may he continue to be considered a joke by the media we all know what he is about and must importantly so do the players. Interesting though looking through the Newcastle forum a fair few of them had a lot of respect for the gaffer
  4. I was thinking exactly the same thing. Kane will be at Utd still not winning anything and arsenal have Jesus so I don’t see them jizzing what £75 mill on Watkins unless they get rid however Jesus is very injury prone. I am loving Watkins right now but my confidence in emery is such that I feel he would get another striker working too because he improves and moulds players so be it a new striker or archer/Duran I’m not overly concerned but will say this I do want Ollie to stay for sure
  5. Me too. A nothing club that’s been trading off being a London club. How long is it since they last one the FA cup ? 32 years and in that time they have won 2 league cups the last of which was 15 years ago and this lot are a big club? Amazing what London and good PR can do for you
  6. Yep £40+ million and I’ve yet to see what even makes him a premier league player! He really does look poor and I thought that when he was at Everton. If we had been in the mix to sign him I would have been fuming. Add to that he seems to have a toxic attitude which only brings clubs down and it’s based on zero delivery anywhere in his career so far, the lads hardly messi is he
  7. I did think when they offered Frank the job (apart from the obvious question of why) that they are so bad even Frank can’t make them worse and he can’t do any more damage to his reputation as a manager but somehow he is. I can’t see how or why anyone would ever risk hiring Lampard again he really has no ability as a manager at all. Tactically clueless with astonishingly bad and disjointed team selections. You can see how him and Gerrard never managed to work for England with the lack of tactical awareness the two possess
  8. Losing at home to Bournemouth lol imploding or just average ? And £42 million for Sanchez another lol
  9. Probably me being thick but looking and reading about Everton and Man City’s financial arrangements and it appears to be the case that Man City over inflated some sponsorship or other commercial deal whenever they needed money. I am just trying to work out why legally not morally that is wrong when it comes to FFP. Wasn’t FFP meant to be about clubs being run in a sustained way so they didn’t end up like a Leeds or Portsmouth (I know the real reason is to stop a Leicester winning the league again situation) but if a rich owner was buying sponsorship then that money is a transaction into the club right ? Therefore it’s not a loan and can’t be clawed back if an owner changes their mind. The value of a sponsorship is really not anyone’s business but the club and and person/business sponsoring surely and if they want to spend £100 mill on a deal that would normally only be worth a £1 mill isn’t that there problem. i am sure it’s more complicated but does anyone know the answer ?
  10. Reality is that would have never happened under gerrard so it was never going to be an issue. This guy however is just doing what he does, comes in reads the room, knows what’s needed to improve and gets in working 25 hours a day to make it happen. Talent + work ethic = 10 places higher in the Table in effectively 4 months. I had put a ban on myself going to Villa park under gerrard after I went to the Crystal Palace game last season. I decided I couldn’t bear to watch such poor football any more but I ended up breaking that ban for a turgid 1-0 defeat at the start of the season to an awful West Ham team so the ban was reinstated but since emery I have been to all but the wolves game and I’m loving it. Already can’t wait for Forrest on Saturday
  11. That’s the dream for be maybe I could swap wolves for West Ham but would love Leeds and Everton to go. To be fair if they don’t got this year one or both could go next year.
  12. I agree, Rodger’s is one of those managers that tells you how good he is but has nothing to back it up. Reminds me of Robert Martinez, always talking a good game and acting slightly patronising but nothing to actually show for it.
  13. Just a word by the way for the move when mcginn hit the bar in the first half. Worked from emi Martinez and mings in our own 6 yard box to mcginn hitting the bar without a Chelsea player touching the ball
  14. Spurs are funny, they seem to think because they are in London and have a new ground they are a big club. The reality is they don’t win anything at all ever even with England’s and their own record goals scorer coming through the ranks whom otherwise they would never have been able to afford. They are a mid table team that has been punching above there weight for the last 10-15 years and have a soft mentality within the club and as they have proved no manager not even the serial winners can win anything with them.
  15. McGuire all over the place Phillips next to useless hardly touched the ball or made a tackle. Couldn’t be anything to do with never playing for their clubs because they are crap is it
  16. A manager playing him and kamara together with a proper plan for them makes a world of difference and I know kamara wasn’t playing Saturday but dougie seems to have grown in confidence and intelligence since playing with kamara and that’s paying off in his all around game even when he hasn’t got his mate next to him
  17. I agree 100% with this. Having a nice ground doesn’t make you a big club unless you listen to sky. 10 years time that ground will be starting to show its age and people will have to talk about the football and still spurs won’t have win anything. big clubs win things! Spurs have one a league cup in the last 32 years that’s it. They haven’t even been to an fa cup final since 1991. That’s pathetic, so how dare anyone call it a big club when Wigan Portsmouth and Leicester have won the fa cup since them, stoke, Watford, hull, West Ham, Everton, millwall, Southampton Sunderland and even us have been to fa cup finals since they last made it. The only thing spurs have been successful at is the PR battle to make them selves seem like a big club based on nothing other than the location of the club.
  18. I thought he was good for most of the game today infact other than konsa constantly getting done in behind I thought the whole back line was excellent
  19. I was at the game so as usual you get very little var update. What was the var penalty was it a handball?
  20. Yep saw that just now. Don’t wish death on anyone at all but the is also a realism part to this that this really wasn’t a nice bloke with a heart of gold.
  21. I would be astonished if anything serious came out if this. Spurs can’t afford to spend the money we could demand on a goal keeper. I’m sure they might offer £30 million as a gesture to the fans to show they are “trying” but the £70-80+ million that he would actually cost not a chance
  22. I am not watching the game today because for some annoying reason it isn’t on peacock but from the sky sports text commentary we are very much on the back foot. Anyone know if this is tactical or are we just being pushed back by West Ham ? If it’s the later that’s disappointing against a team in the bottom 3 who have been getting taken apart by teams recently
  23. Loved watching them go out last night. What an average side they are. Can you imagine where they would be as a club if they hadn’t had Harry Kane. Sky sports news last night had a headline of “spurs trophy drought continues” as if spurs had any chance of winning the champions league and a drought is like Man Utd winning the league cup after 5 years of no trophies spurs haven’t even been in the fa cup final for over 30 years. They may as well have said wigans trophy drought continues
  24. I had the same in the upper holte and yes the were occasions when I thought we could have released Moreno but came back inside but the were a number of different moves yesterday when we built up slowly from the back and picked off palace from back to front and that’s what Emery is trying to do and at times it won’t work and it will require patience especially when we perhaps don’t have the ideal players to play this way but you can see improvement in a lot of the players even konsa is slowly looking more comfortable with the ball at his feet.
