  1. I do love how the new managers come in at spurs and give deli Alli a game thinking they will turn him around. They won’t he is shit and flattered himself for a couple of years but reality is he is no good. I do love the thought of him pocketing a fortune every week for being awful though. Levy must be crying himself to sleep
  2. I liked him when I saw glimpses of him last season, it stood out to me his ability to take the ball on the half turn, good first touch and pace/energy. This season he has started to look more commanding and confident as if he is starting to believe this is where he belongs. With that said I would like to see a even more belief from him to drive us forward but over all he is turning out to be some player. We just need to stay calm when he does have a quiet or ineffective game and understand how inexperienced he is. this kid is one of our own and as others have said he we were liked with signing a player like him from elsewhere we would be all over it so let’s value the fact he is a local lad come through our system that is earning his starting place for Villa and England u21’s
  3. I think McGinn is one of our biggest problems. He is a decent player so it masks the need to get a better play in that area as on the surface you look at it and say he is ok but my problem is he is a 12-15 position in the league team level player so pushing on with mcginn as the leader of our midfield is always going to leave us looking up rather than down the league. I do like him as a bloke though
  4. He is managing in the Dutch league I don’t see why it’s out of reach to be fair and I’m sure the wages we offer will far outweigh what he gets at Ajax. what I don’t want to see is a Martinez type appointment. The Guy has been average almost everywhere he has been and I genuinely think if he was called Robert Martin he wouldn’t even be mentioned
  5. Because Jack carried us and it hid how poor our midfield was and is
  6. To be honest I never saw a top half finish I felt last season was an annomily. With no crowds and a superstar player saw us get results against teams we don’t normally. Losing said superstar and not sorting the glaring midfield deficiencies never gave me the impression of moving forward
  7. John McGinns performance is nothing short of a sackable offence
  8. I was at VP Sunday and I noticed how much Marv hides when our defence has the ball, literally does everything he can to get himself right behind the player closing down our defender so he doesn’t have to take the ball. anyone still think it’s a good job we didn’t sign ward prouse? Our summer business looks more pathetic with each game we play
  9. If smith brings in Ashley young for el ghazi I’m going to lose the plot. Why not philogene bodace on somebody with some pace and work ethic
  10. Missing the point. Mings is captain it sends a message nobody is immune to being dropped for poor performance
  11. Your point is spot on about the midfield the guy should rather than only have a long punt forward be able to have a couple of short options into midfield but we have midfielders who hide so we a forced to go long. Watching our midfield vs West Ham’s and the options there Center Half’s had was like night and day In the difference.
  12. I thought it was good to see him dropped to send a message that the type of performance against arsenal won’t be tolerated.
  13. Left early from the game like most did what a **** shambles we are at times. We are a really poor side that’s now a fact without grealish. Not sure what the **** other than long throws we do in training.
  14. I think something needs to change, not the manager necessarily but the approach for sure does. The Watford and wolves results/performance isn’t acceptable. Infact of the 9 games only 2 have been “good” performances against Everton and Man Utd. Playing 3 at the back does not work for many teams and certainly does not work for us given we are overloaded with wingers it makes zero sense to choose a formation that has none. Deano needs to grow a pair and tell either Watkins or Ings they are on the bench for a bit and at the moment it put Watkins on the bench as he looks shot of confidence.
  15. I have loved the cameos from Bailey and I think we would have finished wolves of on Saturday with him on the pitch but something occurred to me on Saturday. This guy has played about 45 minutes so far this season in total and has hardly done more than 25 minutes without getting injured. That to me is a massive worry
  16. Is he available for wolves ? My first game back at VP since Leicester in December 2019 and would feel much happier if Martinez is in goal rather than steer
  17. It’s clear who it is the sun have pictures of him in handcuffs being led out of a nightclub. Without naming names it’s arguably there best player and a guy many Villa fans wanted in our team at by the eve of the transfer window closing. Should point out it’s alleged at the moment but if true difficult to see a way back for him not many clubs in this country would risk the PR of having a sex offender in the squad.
  18. I think Everton is a prime example of how having lots of money doesn’t mean success unless it’s used well. They went down a path of just buying players seemingly for the sake of it and bought to many of the same type with no plan, spent a fortune and are arguably worse than a side (us) that were in the championship three seasons ago. it’s not just about money it’s money and planning which I feel we have done exceptionally well in the last 2/3 years
  19. Arsenal looking at Calvert lewin or Watkins to replace lacazette!!! Strikes me as incredibly optimistic of them that they could afford either of those two before we even get to the question of trying to convince them to join a fading force like arsenal
  20. I had no nerves about seeing him start, yes I love the guy anyway even before that magic header but as a defender doing his job of defending I really see no problem with him. Where I think people get nervous is with the ball at his feet because he isn’t as cultured as mings of konsa but if he just plays nice and simple and lets his defensive work do his talking then he is such an asset to us. Throw into the mix both defensively and attacking it makes us do much stronger at set pieces because he hardly loses a header. Our new set piece coach must be desperate for him to play
  21. Kane is a disgrace at the moment for Spurs which I love but my good as a team Spurs really are pathetic. Also when will every new Spurs manager stop thinking they can get deli Alli to playing? The is nothing there he has average ability and a well below average attitude which equals waste of space. that being said now I have stated all of that Spurs will probably be rampant against us and Alli and Kane will both get goals and assists and prove me to be the fool I am .
  22. As a 40 year old man I probably shouldn’t have a favourite player but I do and for the last 2 years It’s been Hause. Not because he is the best player but because whenever we call upon him he gives everything and never ever lets us down and I have to say he really is turning into a good premier league defender. as for the team including all the staff I think that was a perfect performance against Utd. I thought to a man we either matched or out thought and out player Utd. Top marks to all involved today and hats off to deano, shakey etc UTV
