Vars Man city Diving Klopp Sky Cheating Man Utd Inconsistent referees Stockley park Inconsistent application of rules of the game (handball, offside etc)

Years ago I was in Malaysia and wandering around the street markets that seemed to consist of every other stall selling replica shirts. As I looked through one of the racks filled with the usual sky scum 6 and Barcelona etc etc, I asked the stall holder "have you got any Aston Villa shirts?".... BBC/sky having to admit that Villa are now Premier League champions We then spend the next decade winning every trophy and title legally, fairly and playing by the rules of the game. Small Heath relegated, deducted eleventy thousand points and Rooney signs a 10 year contract Anyone want to add to this fantasy?

Great comment!!!! Are we really starting to become entitled as we are now currently joint first in the premier league? Some people on here need to stop wetting the bed, we have loads of players injured and others out of form. Never hear Emery complaining about this. This league is a tough league and sometimes some teams will cause us problems, Villa as a team are learning, as none of them have much experience at maintaining a level to sustain a top 4 position. Let's just get behind Emery and the team and enjoy it

I hope I am wrong (I have no inside information) but I think there is going to be another huge inflation busting increase on ST next Summer. The more successful the Villa are this season, it will be the easier for them (Heck?) to justify the increase...

My 6 year old grandson is being taken to his first ever football match tonight, Ipswich v QPR. He had an Ipswich hat and shirt for xmas.....I told his parents that it was a form of child abuse......

Regarding eastenders.....(yes I know it's not Christmas) One of my daughters used to watch this tosh regularly years ago, I used to listen out for the 4 phrases "What's going on....?" "Your havin a laugh ain't yer.....?" "Shut it" "Leave it out!" It used to be like playing eastenders bingo, one episode that I accidentally watched had all 4 phrases in a 30 min episode. I imagine not much has changed

I had a nightmare last night (must have been all that cheese I ate). I dreamt that we went 2-0 up at olde trafford, and a VARs decision went for us against that lot for a change. Then in the second half we turned into Villa managed by Steve Bruce and lost 3-2....glad it was only a dream......what time is ko tonight?

I must admit I prefer to watch us live (no commentary!), but I never ever watch us live on the telly box, far too stressful and I get totally fed up with the biased commentary and so called experts comments. Not watched a live game on the telly since the Villa v Chelsea fa cup final, and the media wankfest over a sky scum 6 team was bad then, sounds even worse now ...... There used to be genuine unbiased commentary years ago, what's happened?.......$$$$$$ in brown envelopes?

Merry Christmas all you VTr's !!!!! Lovely quiet morning for me, just the wife and my 30 year daughter who is staying with us for a couple of days...and they are both asleep. Have got the "woken at 5am Christmas day t shirt". Christmas is really for kids isn't it? Seeing the grandkids later this morning, hopefully they will have calmed down by then.....! Let's hope for a happy, successful, healthy and peaceful new year for all.

My brother in law is 75 has his own small business installing woodburning stoves and sweeping chimneys, he is not in the best of health but refuses to to retire. He and his wife have plenty of money, no mortgage to worry about. He has no outside interests and the rest of the family think that he prefers being at work, plus as he has no interests outside work, we think its work that's keeping him going and without work his mental and physical health will deteriorate. Sad isn't it? I am 65 1/2 and will call it a day end of March 2024. I think its important that you have some sort of quality of life after finishing/retiring from work. Fortunately I have lots of interests, including following the Villa of course. I am also planning on volunteering at my local NHS hospital (west Suffolk Bury St Edmunds) give something back after being hospitalised for 7 days earlier this year. I am looking forward to retiring!

Just watched the interview, he said that "we" looked at the proposed new stand in the Summer and had decided to scrap the idea. This guy has been in post for 6 months, so therefore he decided early on to scrap it......so for 6 months of all of us getting excited with the development, Heck had already decided to bin it.... This guy is basically interested in building a big new shop, an easy win for him, risk free before he leaves in 2 years time to maintain his "safe pair of hands" CV

Spot on. I have seen so many CEO's on a 2 year churn where I work and they just don't want to make any mistakes to blot their CV as they progress up the slippery pole. Short term, mini fix's easy to do stuff that looks great with a bit of bullsh*t and polish on the CV. Heck will be gone in 18 months/2 years - problem is that he may well have bu%%ered up loads of stuff at VP during his tenure but he will be long gone when the brown stuff hits the fan In a way I am not that surprised that the VP new stand/upgrade was cancelled. Intrigued as to what the 5 to 10 year future will look like at VP though...
