  1. To everyone going to the game tonight: a) fair play to you all b) im incredibly jealous c) please please sing your hearts out. this game is massive and us unfortunates stuck at home want to hear you lot live on telly outsinging the lesster fans. Our team isnt as good theirs on paper so we need the fans to be the twelfth man (or even 11th man depending on what el ghazi shows up tonight)
  2. on that topic, my personal quirk is that I always wear my socks inside out. I find those wee seamy bits at your toes terribly uncomfortable. Seems even weirder now that ive typed it down though...
  3. WHO need a new statistic for how many people have died as a result of suffocation from home made masks
  4. To be fair we tried it too a bunch of times on Foden but that little sod stayed on his feet every time. Fantastic balance and pretty admirable much as i hate to admit it
  5. Hi wiki info will look great in the future when it states that his first professional competitive appearance was a 6-0 humping in a cup final
  6. All looking at this wrong. What a story it would be for villa to beat city given the prevailing circumstances. Would be a result for the ages. It's not impossible. Improbable, yes. But not impossible.
  7. genuinely think City will rest players for this game
  8. Inside No.9 Season 5. Genuinely think this is one of the best written shows i've ever watched. Love it. So consistently dark and witty. Also brilliantly acted and some excellent cameos
  9. boooooooooo (although I appreciate that there are more important things at stake as a result of this thing) but still, booooooooo
  10. FFS at this rate I may have to start putting "Watching Jack Grealish Compilation Videos" under my interests and hobbies
  11. cant let this happen. I have a new Volvo on order, due to arrive in April. Get it sorted Sweden
  12. watched Contagion last night and would have to say I thought it was brilliant. It also gave me the first nightmare that I have had for years, despite being an avid horror watcher!
  13. Personally I think that City's ban should have extended to domestic cup finals..
  14. It was a sneaky arm coming from his blind side so he didnt see it coming and couldnt brace himself for the impact. I actually thought it was deliberate and worthy of a yellow card but obviously the wonderful VAR disagreed. I imagine the doctor/ physio had a lot to say on whether he could continue or not. You could see them testing his vision etc. Potential head injury and concussion risk is taken very seriously nowadays and if he was shown any of the symptoms then the staff have to err on the side of caution. Dont want him going all Aaron Hernandez on us. Of course the docs have to go on what the player tells them so there is still the possibility he was being a big fairy. only he knows really ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  15. really good player but needs to shoot more. Got a great shot on him but has had more hairstyles than goals since he's been here.
  16. Yep its like a juggernaut that shows no sign of bursting
  17. its a bit of an odd quirk with footballers though that they would rarely try the same thing three times if they have failed with the first two. Jack had missed his last two shots coming off the left onto his right foot at the edge of the box and you just knew he wouldn't try it a third time. I don't know if its a conscious or subconscious thing but i've noticed it quite a lot
  18. bottom line is if there was no VAR then that penalty was never going to be given. I was surprised it even went to VAR there was such a lack of appeal. Although technically right, I hate everything about VAR. I miss the smart players getting away with the dark arts of the game - that is a skill in itself and developed through experience and adversity. I hate how the game slows down and we wait for some goblins in a cave somewhere determining the fate of the game. I hate how the referee must rely on this and not use his instinct which includes feeling the tone and tempo of the game or the emotions of the players. I hate that the biggest cheers or boos come from 40,000 people looking at a graphic on a screen for the VAR result. I hate not celebrating a goal 100% when the goal is scored in case VAR has a shit fit about it.
  19. should i be worried or happy that Reina is the best passer of the ball out of our back line? Hell, he is a better passer of the ball than some of our midfielders too
  20. funny enough I watched another Robert Pattinson movie last night called Good Time. It was excellent, and Pattinson was really good in it. Between that and the Lighthouse I'm really starting to like him as an actor
