  1. watched Contagion last night and would have to say I thought it was brilliant. It also gave me the first nightmare that I have had for years, despite being an avid horror watcher!
  2. Personally I think that City's ban should have extended to domestic cup finals..
  3. It was a sneaky arm coming from his blind side so he didnt see it coming and couldnt brace himself for the impact. I actually thought it was deliberate and worthy of a yellow card but obviously the wonderful VAR disagreed. I imagine the doctor/ physio had a lot to say on whether he could continue or not. You could see them testing his vision etc. Potential head injury and concussion risk is taken very seriously nowadays and if he was shown any of the symptoms then the staff have to err on the side of caution. Dont want him going all Aaron Hernandez on us. Of course the docs have to go on what the player tells them so there is still the possibility he was being a big fairy. only he knows really ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  4. really good player but needs to shoot more. Got a great shot on him but has had more hairstyles than goals since he's been here.
  5. Yep its like a juggernaut that shows no sign of bursting
  6. its a bit of an odd quirk with footballers though that they would rarely try the same thing three times if they have failed with the first two. Jack had missed his last two shots coming off the left onto his right foot at the edge of the box and you just knew he wouldn't try it a third time. I don't know if its a conscious or subconscious thing but i've noticed it quite a lot
  7. bottom line is if there was no VAR then that penalty was never going to be given. I was surprised it even went to VAR there was such a lack of appeal. Although technically right, I hate everything about VAR. I miss the smart players getting away with the dark arts of the game - that is a skill in itself and developed through experience and adversity. I hate how the game slows down and we wait for some goblins in a cave somewhere determining the fate of the game. I hate how the referee must rely on this and not use his instinct which includes feeling the tone and tempo of the game or the emotions of the players. I hate that the biggest cheers or boos come from 40,000 people looking at a graphic on a screen for the VAR result. I hate not celebrating a goal 100% when the goal is scored in case VAR has a shit fit about it.
  8. should i be worried or happy that Reina is the best passer of the ball out of our back line? Hell, he is a better passer of the ball than some of our midfielders too
  9. funny enough I watched another Robert Pattinson movie last night called Good Time. It was excellent, and Pattinson was really good in it. Between that and the Lighthouse I'm really starting to like him as an actor
  10. well that was confusing and distressing. thought this was a new topic, started reading from page one, and found a conversation about how Villa were setting up to be in the championship long term . and everyone was happy enough with it
  11. new season of All or Nothing just dropped. Philadelphia Eagles. 3 eps in and its as good as always. The in-game footage is so immersive. I love for some scoring plays how they stay zoomed in on a certain player and follows their reaction, and then shows the TV angle after
  12. Just to play devils advocate, Utd mightn't be anything special at this moment in time but Jack grew up, like many of us, watching them dominate football in this country an fostering generational talents that are written into PL legacy. They still have massive worldwide appeal and just maybe Jack realises that if he were to join them and help them regain their spot as one of the best teams in the country he would be a hero. This may be more appealing than joining a team at their peak and perhaps trying to replace an older, successful player. For the record, I hope I am wrong. i also believe that people can justify their actions and decisions to suit their agenda and Jack could (perhaps not incorrectly) tell himself that by Villa selling him for a massive fee (higher than the club itself was valued at a few years ago), he is actually helping the club he loves long term. Again, I hope I am wrong. The other thing that concerns me is the lack of stability at the club the entire time he has been a senior player. It has been a revolving door of owners, managers, CEO's training staff etc so there hasn't been one consistent figurehead that Jack would feel massive loyalty towards.
  13. the Todd Philips documentary about Allin was one of the craziest things i've ever watched.
  14. I tried that and I still just see a bloody dog
  15. Just having a laugh bud, please don't take it to heart. Need to have thick skin around here lol. Back on topic, I completely disagree with your points above but respect your right to express them, and however you want.
  16. cant unsee it now! painting ruined
  17. Hilarious. I didn't know I was writing a **** essay which was going to be marked. C-
  18. I'm alright with this as a risk free signing. Best case scenario we never see him play because it means that samatta and Davis are playing great and avoiding injury/ fatigue Plus it means if (when) we stay up then next summer we will have even more money to spend on an awesome striker rather that being lumbered with a mid value so-so striker
  19. You can tell that that Jarrod Bowen fella is gonna be one fat wee bar steward once he retires from football
  20. We do. We just aren't allowed to spend it
  21. Sure we can just buy Bowen back off West ham.in 6 months when they get relegated and we stay up. Simple
