  1. Bizarre people who are walking along a pedestrian walkway only fit for 2 people side by side, decide to walk quite squarely in the middle to make it difficult to both overtake and pass coming the other way, also will almost certainly walk at a pace which is so slow a chronically arthritic amputee would get impatient with them. AND THEN there is the moment they decide to just stop, without warning, in the centre of the tiny walkway they've decided they own and start to rummage through a bag that could carry all the worldly possessions of a Togolese town, and when I am at breaking point they scowl and tut at me for nearly walking into them! If you are one of these people you are up there with Hitler in terms of negative contribution to society and it should be legal to shoot you on site
  2. So I've been travelling round Europe for just over a month but I'm going back this weekend and then straight down to Bristol for a night out with a few mates. Quite excited for it as I'm only going to be in the country for a week, before travelling to Peru for a couple of months, before coming back to Europe to go out with these mates again for a few days in Amsterdam and see Linkin Park in concert (I'm predicting carnage in Amsterdam right now)
  3. Obviously I don't know her but it sounds as though it's quite a convenient excuse to stay in contact and visit sometimes. I think if she was looking to cut ties and end it she would either sacrifice seeing the cats, knowing they were in good hands, or ask to keep them herself. Not (what it looks like from here) find a reason for regular visits
  4. If they won the 2nd leg, it would be away, so they would win 14-6 on away goals agg. Or was that part of the joke that may have gone over my head?
  5. Currently switching between 3 songs You Me At Six - Room To Breathe Mallory Knox - Ghost In The Mirror Clean Bandit - Up Again Think all 3 are great, although Creeper is a much better showing of Mallory Knox' talents imo
  6. I realise I'm going WAY back but my phone opens pages on the last page I read and as I rarely visit off topic it sent me to page 1. Thought this was brilliant. Some of you guys have been kicking about for over 10 years! Had no idea how long the forum had been going
  7. This seems quite uninspiring, I can't Sebas(tian) the average stats in a below average league [sebas sounds a bit like see pass? Thought I'd at least attempt a pun] I don't think he'd be a bad signing. Offer competition and there are enough other options in that position to move him out of the team if he doesn't adjust to the league.
  8. Really? I am quite staggered that anyone could give RL credit for spending peanuts! It is sweet FA to do with him. Pretty sure it is something to do with him. He owns this company. He pays these people to work for his company.
  9. I was coming on here after seeing the article expecting to see some negative comments about the appointment but maybe not... He's going to be the CEO of a football club and he knows very little about football and has never worked in the football side of things. If he was brought in to do the exact same role at Arsenal I would be absolutely shocked and thrilled with the appointment. But I'm nervous he's gonna have to learn on-the-job as he's not used to dealing with the football side. All that said he's clearly an intelligent man who's worked his way up to his position at Arsenal and is well regarded by them. I just hope he can deal with footballing sides as well. In terms of Lerner "to sell or not to sell" I think it is literally one or the other. He's probably been offered some assurances that he's protected if new owners come in, or he'll get a big pay-off if moved on straight away, or (I hope) this appointment has been agreed with new potential owners
  10. We're never going to just let him go that's obvious. It's just whether we sort it now or next year. And then obviously it's whether he accepts any offer. If I was Jack I wouldn't want to sign a contract until the new owners were in. If they come in splashing cash then he's got more chance of higher wages. That would be my thought process
  11. We have 27 players in a 25 man squad who would you drop from the squad at this stage?
  12. On 27 at the moment. Out of the players in our team with squad numbers I would say Herd and Stevens will lose their place. After that I'm not sure, the likes of Gardner, Baker, Clark, Bent and according to rumour KEA could all be loaned or sold at no real cost to the squad
  13. A natural coach Roy Keane Teaches 12 Year Old Danny Welbeck How T…:
  14. Memphis would be a ridiculously good signing. He's champions league quality in the making it'd be difficult to lose money on that guy. Almost no chance of it happening but never say never
  15. If I was Lambert I would be dropping Gabby as a point to him that he needs to up his game, move Richardson into a LW role with nzog on the right and Weimann up top I still remember that goal for West Brom down the left to keep them up and I would like to see him playing on the left
  16. I like Baker and Clark and hope they both have good careers but unfortunately I would move them both on now, maybe on loan at first to make sure they don't improve dramatically in a season once theyre off our books
  17. Feel like he needs plenty of game time and if he's good enough he'll prove himself in that space of time and either stay on or go to a higher division on loan in jan
  18. I know it's a big ask but if he is viewed in the same way Bouma was then he'll be an awesome player. Even if he's shite for the rest of the year his pedigree of clubs means someone will buy and we're very unlikely to lose too much money on him
  19. Just listened to an interview and he says they'd met a few times in different circumstances but started talking after Lambert bought Lisbie in on loan from Keano, then promptly left colchester to go to Norwich and the rest is known by all. Just found it interesting really how they'd come to know each other. Keano saying "we didn't go to school together you know" then gives a glare.
  20. I saw them all as experienced signings but in a completely different way. They've all played a season at least in relegation threatened teams. If not 2-4 seasons Richardson @ Sunderland, Fulham and baggies, Senderos @ Fulham, Cissokho @ his first club in Portugal, Sanchez @ Elche and Valenciennes, Cole @ West Ham They know what it means to battle out results and to have to play under pressure. They've got experience both ends of the spectrum and for that they will help out any youngers lads playing greatly.
  21. I was beginning to like Hutton but if he keeps going out and giving interviews like that he'll be my favourite player! Hus character is unquestionable and his talent is also there for all to see. Might have been an inflated fee but he was bought by Spurs for over £8mil and performed reasonably well for them. Always looked better than what we had when he was playing for Scotland It baffles me that this guy seems to have been born match-fit. Doesn't play or even do training matches then suddenly thrown in when others like Nzog looked rusty and he's up to pace and ready straight away
  22. Guzan Hutton Vlaar Senderos Cissokho Westwood Sanchez Delph Bacuna Weimann Grealish Would be my XI for now based on who's fit and who we have. With everyone fit and playing to their hype (Okore, Sanchez, Grealish) Guzan Hutton Vlaar Okore Cissokho Sanchez Bacuna Westwood Delph Grealish Benteke Hopefully Cole will be good and can be an option to break teams down, Gabby and Richardson are experienced options to switch into the team if we need to close games or need older heads in there.
  23. The guy who told me about Rodwell and Sinclair both being allowed to leave, but only 1 could go because of their English quota, has confirmed that Sinclair won't be moving and this also means that of course Milner is going nowhere too. Guidetti is the only real option available from them but he's not exactly done well on loan in the prem and has a big ego apparently. I wouldn't be considering anyone from them. Zaha is a good option I would like us to go for
  24. Has Gary Gardner even played 90 minutes for us? He had potential about 3-4 years ago before spending nearly all his time out injured or being unimpressive in lower leagues on loan. I'm surprised he was given a new contract and even more surprised someone is stating He is as good if not better than someone who's been in the 1st team consistently for 2 years
  25. That touch right there is sensational
