  1. Is one of them shorter than the other?
  2. Do transcripts of the Here We Go podcast count as a book? Asking for a friend.
  3. Jude Bellingham does not approve this message
  4. they won't see forest next season either
  5. Surprised there are no mentions for Villa's Winston Bogarde, Habib Beye. Dr Tony is the correct answer - legitimately could have sent us the way of Aldershot. Doug was a terrible, but in a Levy kind of way. Hindered progress, but administration was unlikely. Shows how low Xia made the bar.
  6. Deep reach, and a like wasn't enough to express my appreciation.
  7. Imagine going back ten years and telling a villa fan "one day we'll have Steven Gerrard and Coutinho". Hasn't quite worked out.
  8. I'm torn - it doesn't take much to make a good player look terrible in the Premier League. Leicester's defence was an abomination this year, can't do much for your confidence if you know that losing the ball or giving away a free kick is probably going to end in the opposition scoring. Still think their midfield was too good to go down - it was just playing in front of a ramshackle defence and a pair of curtains in goal.
  9. He's our best player, just won best goalkeeper in the world, is in his prime has has five or more good years ahead of him. Oh, and he just signed a new contract. £100m would be the minimum I'd want and even then I'd be disappointed - his value to us over the next year or two could be the difference between challenging for Champions League or the Conference again. I honestly can't understate his importance to our defence.
  10. you doubted the character of the entire current squad, so I'll take Emery's thoughts on this one.
  11. Forest have released Henderson. If wages aren't astronomical would make a good back-up, could play conference and cup games too.
  12. I can honestly see where they're coming from. No Europe gives Levy no room to spin. They're losing Kane and they need to rebuild, having less games in what they expect to be (at best) a transitional season isn't a bad thing. I've no affinity for spurs but I also don't find some of the comments their fans made about them being "glad that Villa got Europe because their fans will enjoy it more" as in any way condescending. They're right - it means more to us, while they have an overhaul to focus on - assuming they can get someone competent to magar them. They know they're in the shit - if (when) Kane leaves and get the next manager wrong, they'll be us under SG but with a newer stadium and a worse owner.
  13. Do yourself a favour and look at the first couple of pages of the Harry Kane thread on there. ”The next Grant Holt” and “not good enough for Spurs, will end up at a team like Fulham or Villa” are two of my favourites.
  14. Peak joy would be beating them thanks to a clearly wrong VAR decision. I think I'd be laughing until next season.
  15. Bit rich given that you were campaigning for SG to stay until the bitter end. Even if Purslow did delay his sacking, you were in support of that decision at the time.
  16. Even more glad we beat spurs now. What a memory for her, and what an inspirational kid. Obviously didn't cry at all watching that.
  17. A Spaniard with great stats who left the Prem under a cloud, arguably because of an overly-expectant fan base, went back to Spain, and could now come back to the UK with a point to prove to the fans of a Sky Six team? This story sounds familiar.
  18. "Last 10 games we sit in 14th with 12 points. And in that run of 10 games we played; Saints, Forest, Bournemouth, Everton, Palace, Villa to give it some perspective on how **** god awful it is." -from the fighting cock. They are above us based on early season form. Current form, which is what matters right now, is the opposite story. Looking forward past the summer, if they don't get the managerial appointment right and they lose Kane, they could be next season's Chelsea.
  19. Good signing for a team chasing the playoffs, but ultimately going to get sidelined if they get promoted. I think he's a decent player for a mid table championship club.
  20. 4 red cards in 222 games. Kienan Davies has 3 goals in 73 league appearances, so by your standards he's basically goal-a-game. Moot point since he won't come here anyway, but he's a quality player.
  21. Agreed. Leicester, unlike Everton and Leeds, have a carcass worth picking at if they go down. Maddison, Barnes and Tielemanns shouldn’t be in a team that gets relegated.
