  1. I heard they've got an exclusive pic of him lining up for Wales
  2. Obviously they're on a high after beating city, huge achievement and story of the weekend. Can't even remember what we did, am sure it was nothing special and we drew with Luton or something. There's nothing magic about the dog shed that protects them - if we're serious about top 6 then we should be winning here.
  3. Our only two losses this season are barcodes and plop, both away. The one thing we've done well is winning games we'd expect to win.
  4. 36% pass accuracy? He's wasted there without Hogan to see those through balls
  5. "Shit, did you see that? He must have a foot like a traction engine"
  6. Pretty tough to write out a realistic profile of a backup keeper we'd be happy with. Emi is elite. Any young keeper who will be good enough to replace him in 3 years would be at Old Trafford already. Someone who could replace him in 7 years means betting on potential, and likely not ready for cup / European games against better opposition. Older keepers who can play our style and are good enough would probably require wages we don't want to pay for a depreciating asset. I'm not advocating for Olsen, but we're in a tricky spot because if how good Emi is.
  7. Luka Modric started his career there. @Stevo985 still doesn't believe this is true
  8. I left the UK in my mid-20s for North America and I'll say this: Relagation was village, AVTV showed the games but commentary was offensive to all five senses I still play a bit so I know a lot of Europeans and UK people. Banter is limited to games and WhatsApp, but having a draft fantasy league helps. Local club rivalry isn't as fierce. It just isn't. I've spent time on both coasts and in a few cities - not saying it's not there, but back home I knew Geordies who wouldn't eat bacon because it's mackem colours. Took my (North American) wife to a league 2 derby match on a UK trip and she couldn't believe how many police there were in the walk to the ground for a game that maybe had 6k attendance. Villa tops at drop-in games are always a conversation starter - basically anyone raised outside of North America and Antarctica has heard of them. Met a villa fan at a pub? There's going to be a lot of hugging Hatred between expat rivals is toned down - I played with a blouse, a baggie and a dog head. Never had a knee-high challenge come my way, but probably because they don't know it was me who let their tires down.
  9. Anyone have the stats for the number of times Kloop has complained when a VAR mistake has gone his way? Pretty sure I don’t need to look it up.
  10. I thought this too. Like Mane, he's a really intelligent player - makes so much space for others. Can assist without touching the ball.
  11. He's never a starter for where we are. In fact he's a bit of a nightmare for a manager who values consistency. But he's always going to be a fan favourite - does things with a ball that not many other players can / would. That includes sitting three defenders on their arses then running into the keeper. A bit like a FIFA player blessed with speed so high you can't actually control him. Ronaldinho meets qwop.
  12. I'm not blaming JPW, I'm saying your comparison is poor. Stay on point.
  13. Grealish was a developing youth player who played around 800 minutes of football and started 9 games. JWP started every league game for Southampton, was subed once due to injury and only one other time in the 87th minute. Either you didn't know that which means the comparison is based on lack of knowledge, or you did and you can't see the difference. Which is it?
  14. Backup gk: Claudio Bravo Pros: 1. Experience at the highest level for not much money 2. Would get some game time in fa cup, league cup and conference 3. Great leader / mentor for our army of young gks, which it sounds like we have enough of to fill the north stand expansion on their own 4. Gets free bus tickets on a pensioner's pass so we can save on travel expenses Cons: 1. Gets free bus tickets on a pensioner's pass so we can save on travel expenses 2. It's Friday night and I've been drinking and I just thought about it while taking a piss, but in retrospect this is when I typically make poor decisions 3. Why do auto-feeding paper towel machines always give you too little paper to dry your hands? Not related to our backup gk problem but very relevant to my current situation
  15. Inserted an unnecessary comma - that'll be right up his alley. inb4 kenneth.jpeg

    LGBTQ+

I go further and say the LBGTQI+ community doesn't have singular agreed upon defined goals or ideals (beyond very broad basic human rights issues). Like any group of more than one person it's not a monolith. I know a bunch of people who are gay and if you put them in a room and asked them to agree on one thing they'd be in there for hours. Which is exactly like any other group of 10-20 people. People are different, even when they share a lot in common.
  17. Maybe if the mail didn't have four pop-ups, three and videos and 800 other ads as soon as you load a page I'd take them seriously. Now they're basically the online version of the free rag you used to deliver when you were 12 (but you just threw them in the bushes instead). I get they need ad revenue but the site is unusable.
  18. Need a young keeper with a high ceiling who sees the value in coming here to play in cup and ecl games whilst learning off Emi and Unai. Ideally someone where a lot of the work has already been done but we can get them cheap and take them up a few levels. In short, who's the baggies academy keeper?
  19. you had me refreshing the os all day so you win in the end!
  20. You need to update your profile pic. Gave me a heart attack.
  21. As someone with young kids let me tell you - it sticks more often than not.
  22. I'm sure it's in here already but I'm too lazy to search: Credits at the start of movies and TV shows. And the fact that "skip credits" is a button you have to click and not the default. Literally the only product that insists on telling you the names of the people who made it. Also: People who don't search post history to see if thier topic has already been covered. rocket polishers.
  23. A simple like isn't enough to express my appreciation of this masterpiece of a post.
  24. Letting him go is only a mistake if we don't sign another RB. I think it's a pretty big sign that someone will be coming in.
