  1. Amusing as Gordon is barely involved!
  2. Hope the partnership has break clauses or ratchets for success. This club is on the up and that real estate is getting more valuable (in fact its already more valuable than the day this was signed).
  3. Evendence suggests it was. Promotion. Followed by consolidation, establishing team half way up the table. He may have had Jack, as did Bruce. He also extracted his best form from him. Easy to forget how his career was going until the second season down there, with the wrong coach, he could've been a busted flush. Purslow, like him or not saw progressive growth of the club, on and off the pitch. Kudos to him (bar Gerrard)!
  4. Being offered a demotion generally isn't well received. I'm assuming it was CFO/CCO (possibly on a group level)...
  5. £170M for just over half of Leeds. Obscenely overpriced given they could be stuck in Championship for some time. Radrizzani paid £44M for the entire club in 2017
  6. Even though some speculation. It still feels like its from nowhere. Great signing for us... I'd assumed Newcastle or a top 4 club.
  7. They're a sportswashing arm of the Saudi state, they organise boxing matches etc etc. Probably will be responsible for world cup bid/delivery. Inevitably they spend rather than make money.
  8. So, you're saying he has a future?
  9. We can finish first. Like every other team. Closer to it than this year is the aim. Staying ahead Chelsea and Spurs should be the aim. Good chance that gets you into top five this time around. With improvements and Unai's touch, sky is the limit.
  10. No room for any other personalities. The dressing room was full of one ego! Plenty of blame to go around. But all fingers point to the coach and his staff.
  11. Yes. Hedge fund owned clubs have historically done very well, it's why Coventry were regular finishers in Europe under Sisu
  12. Terrifying to think how many players we'd have lost for a fraction of their value if he'd been backed through another couple of windows.
  13. How did the others that were on his level turn out?
  14. That's absolutely it. Uncle was chairman, otherwise, he doesn't spend his weekends tracking the results.
  15. Pep achieves minimum expectation with a Premier League title. It's not an ahcievement to get that group of players to finish top of the league. Silva has arguably done a better job relative to resources; which i think is the measure?
  16. Can we please sign a 35 year old now. I don't like the idea of being older than all of the first team squad. Ash, it was an absolute pleasure all over again!

No highlight of the corner on motd, i didn't see it, anyone got a clip?
  18. That's the fear. I hope not. I really don't get it as an enterprise, if these states want to cleanse their reputations, fund huge infrastructure projects on an aid basis in low/middle income countries. Mass Transit System in major cities would be an absolute gift in PR terms, particularly if you plaster your name across it (it also has the benefit of being actually good). This buying football clubs and paying people £10s of Millions is more about vanity than sanitising reputations.
  19. Oh please, let him take it!
