Whatever next season, the midfield do need to offer more protection to the defence I agree, but they also need to make sure they protect the left as well as the right. Someone pointed out earlier last season that Bennett was getting far more pressure on him than Lowton for that reason and the same will happen to Luna if we're not careful. There's a definite right side bias there.

Nice dogs, great temperament, but they can be a tad more highly strung than a labrador. As you say, like all retrievers, great with kids.

One thing to remember and this was pointed out to me by a Walsall fan at work last week, Saddlers first match is Saturday, so they were hardly likely to bust a gut. Having said that though, they were still rather lack lustre.

TBF, Walsall aren't a bad footballing side, shame we can't have some sort of arrangement to short term loan a couple of the young lads there. -
Thought he looked pretty tidy tonight. His beard looked particularly well trimmed, nice hair too, Wonder if he's into stoner metal? Football wise, I thought he looked pretty comfortable, ok he lost his man a couple of times, but Lowton's guilty of giving players too much room at times too. Like how he uses the ball too, very rarely playing a bad ball. the signs are good I reckon.

Yeah, and then some grainy photo picturing him leaving a butchers will appear online. What happens when the butcher tells the press that he frequently goes there? What if he's pictured with a sausage hanging out of his trousers?

Gidman was easily the best RB I've seen in a Villa shirt..... ....well apart from the time I played in Kenny Swain's shirt against Swansea City supporters' club that is.
