  1. In last night's Burton-Fulham penalty shoot out........
  2. I was a big Queen fan up until Bohemian Rhapsody happened, then as far as my own personal musical tastes were concerned, it was all down hill. If you listen to a Day at the Races after listening to their debut, you'll hopefully see what I mean. Anyway, how about this? brings back soooo many happy memories.
  3. One, sort of. My only criticism would be he dallied a wee bit once or twice when he could have thrown or kicked out a bit quicker.
  4. Fairly decent game, got the job done, 3 good goals, Steer in-Guzan out!! Hugley impressed with Okore, we now have a beast at both ends, a two headed beast even. We played some good stuff at times too, but a shame the ref allowed their players to kick lumps off us at times and then booked Delph for one challenge FFS!!!
  5. Quoting yourself? Show off!! Anyway, it's time the FA sorted this "kicking the ball out to get treatment" nonsense out once and for all. There are 4 officials at a match these days, surely one of them can spot a genuinely injured player and highlight the problem?!
  6. Really hoping to see Helenius in action tonight. Bought a big bag of charlie especially for the occasion.
  7. Guzan with a loud hailer, sorted.
  8. No no no you're mean't to say it like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiis #avfc have 100% made enquiries for Alexandru Maxim, Ja-cheol Koo, and Rafal Wolski. Bannan in loan talks with Madrid. Which Madrid though? Real, Atletico or the local council?

Wonder if Crouch could do a job there...................
  10. Thought he a storming 2nd half yesterday, he gave the Liverpool right side plenty to think about. Good to see the beard back too!! Looking good.
  11. Not really. Liverpool tore Stoke apart and the only reason it wasn't 6-0 was down to both Begovic's MOTM performance and their lack of clinicality (I think that is a word) which was their Achilles' heel last season. You also forgot to mention Aspas who was very good. Our defence will really have to be on their A-game. Clinicalness is the word you're after!! Anyway, apols, forgot about Aspas, but VP against us will be a different proposition to Stoke at Anfield. Our defence will need to be on their A-game most weeks, that's the default setting! (Though it is improving, I'll give it that!) Little story. Guy at work is a Liverpool fan (can't really call him a glory hunter!!). For the past few years he's bought tickets to Villa-Reds games off the OS in the home seats. This year they spotted the pattern and took him to task over it. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't come up with a viable reason other than the fact that his kids were Liverpool fans. The upshot is, he'll have to buy his tickets through Liverpool from now on, unless he finds a way round it. Not funny is it?
  12. John Hannah to play Lambo and Lenny Henry to play the Beast. Gotta think of the budget.............
  13. So you'll be, er, smoking the vegetables whilst trying to read the magazine then................?
  14. Today, I bought a filling from the dentist.
  15. I expect he was over compensating to avoid accusations of bias, keep his employers happy and keep or earn a contract. It is wrong though. Either have commentators who are aligned with one of the teams playing and let them be biased (within reason) or stick to 'independent' commentators/analysers. Yeah, heard that too, made me feel a little bit sad at the time. Really hope he was overcompensating.
  16. Can't see any reason why we can't win this one. Liverpool huffed and puffed to get a result at home against a very poor Stoke side last week whilst Villa gave 2 of the top 4 teams in the league decent games and could conceivably have come away unbeaten. Apart from Coutinho, Gerrard and perhaps Sturridge I can't see what there is for us to be scared of. I'd go with Okore to nullify the one dimensional Sturridge and maybe Sylla in place of El Ahmadi just for the (hopefully) fresher legs. Looking forward to a Luna hat trick (in the right end!). Oh yeah, feed the Beast.

Is he leaving the Voice then? Anyway, Mourinho always reminds me of this fella.............
  18. Just imagine if Donacien makes the grade and ends up alongside Okore at CB. That'd be one rapid pairing
  19. Noticed him sitting by the dugouts at last night's game.
