  1. PL's correct to do this and it maybe has backfired a little but at least he knows what we need and where to strengthen.
  2. Probably because the players ahead of him are way too inexperienced and statuesque!
  3. He won't be moved on in my view however he needs to be out of the starting line-up but the problem is we are short on wide options!
  4. It's a great point; the Olympics were a breath of fresh air from these overrated, overpaid, egotistical pricks who call themselves sportsmen. I used to be as passionate as anyone about the Villa but it's beginning to change now and watching real sportspeople perform in the Olympics is one of the reasons why I'll always think differently towards footballers...they are nowhere near being held in the same regard. Hopefully, PL will see this and change things for hungrier players within our squad; one things for sure is it seems Insomnia (NZog) should be nowhere near the starting line-up!
  5. "Jog On"? I always thought that a colloquialism used by the Scouse minority?
  6. Yeah I tend to agree. The thing MON cares more about than anything else is the image of MON. Really dislike the bloke. Don't get me wrong, I dislike him as well, but is there anything wrong with wanting to become a footballing legend? No not at all. But look at the legacy of Bobby Robson and there is a man who did things the right way and who was open and honest with everyone he ever met. Contrast that with MON and you get barbed quips and cryptic comment; I just think he tries to be cleverer than he actually is!
  7. Geezer! It's a great link between the AVFC and The Sabbath, and it really must happen.
  8. He's probably the most ill-informed pundit out there and his tenuous links to the game are from a bygone era.
  9. I used to like Jones because he was inspired to practise martial arts (like myself) because of Bruce Lee and has some JKD training. However, the more you hear and see of him he does tend to alienate and furiate. No doubt Dana White is upset; I know they'll be insured against this sort of thing but it's just troubling for the brand, merchandise and history. Looking back 151 will just be void but we'll have 152 Jones vs Belfort; it's a little odd, why not make the next event 151? Promotional reasons maybe? I think Jones is the better fighter than Sonnen, but i'd acually ive Sonnen the edge because of his psychological warfare which would probably work against a naive and still relatively inexperinced fighter like Jones. That is possibly why Jones did not accept the fight?!
  10. After I read the first paragraph I thought the very same thing.
  11. Quello Che Conta is one of my favourites from the album; Patton is truly one of the greatest vocalists...
  12. No he'll be 5th after Vlaar, Clark, Baker, Lowton.
  13. Re: Statham, he was actually good in 'Lock, Stock...' but then he's just been type-cast as this action movie modern day Scwarzenegger. I guess he just doesn't get decent scripts or he doesn't care?!
  14. Fellaini will play up front practically as he did against Man U. That game for Everton was always going to be one of their biggest games of the season, first match at home and against their second rivals. Vlaar v. Fellaini will be interesting; the amount of times Fellaini has committed murder against us is crazy! He should have been booked against Man U, I wonder if he'll get away with it again?!
  15. Vlaar Clark Baker Lowton Herd Five players to go into the CB positions; think about Swansea and PL's Norwich last season and their Championship defences. They did rather well and I don't see ours been anyway inferior.
  16. Yes it is problematic playing two inexperienced fullbacks in Lowton and Cresswell (if he signs) but it is (yet another) transitional season for us. The spine of our team has experience; Given, Vlaar, Ireland, Holman, Bent, Agbonlahor. It seems PL is keen on signing young cheap talent to benefit our future and with Henke our new scout we can try and be in the mix to sign some future top European players. I think the next few seasons will be exciting, but this season is mid-table or eighth at the very best!
  17. I'm glad there are a lot of proper ingredients to the shakes in that list. I do believe we should get all the protein required from food alone. I know this is often a case of a time-constraint for some and a reason to use shakes but this is wrong. Did anyone see the Panorama investigation in regard to protein shakes? They spoke to a number of Doctors and Professors who deemed them "not even relevant for sport at the highest level" They also analysed much of the research that had been used as evidence to support the use of protein shake and even found some dating back to a study from 1932 that was conducted on rats At the moment marketing campaigns see the protein shake as the golden ticket and the mark-up on this stuff is hilarious when you break it down to the resale value. The medium is the message and the industry currently looks at the shake as the definitive 'golden ticket'. It would be far more beneficial to have a glass of milk as one small cup can contain as much as 8 grams of protein. Another great source is with nuts and seeds such as almonds, peanuts, sunflower, pumpkin and flax. I know many pro-fighters put a lot of flax seds in their shakes rather than the chemical compositions like the protein shake!
  18. Interesting read and positive statistics. Also refutes the notion Delph cannot pass as claimed by one ill-informed poster on the previous page.
  19. Swansea are linked heavily to sign him. Our priorities lie elsewhere...
  20. Concrete Ron looks decent and it was a promising debut. Regardless of the doom mongerers I think there are some reasons to be cheerful; it is early days after all.
  21. Well done Mr. Sugar, I agree with him it's very rare you find someody with decent musical credentials actually sitting on a panel on these shows. NDUBZ are a joke and precisely what is wrong with music (and I use that term very lightly).
  22. Sad news about Tony Scott. Witnesses have remarked about him climbing a ten foot fence and just jumping from the bridge without a care! I've seen quite a few of his movies and they are all rather good from his first The Hunger, True Romance, Crimson Tide and Man on Fire.
  23. He does have the ability but not the confidence. I think PL is probably regretting not putting him on the bench now but I guess CNZ must have been sowing some form in training? I just think away from home he is even more of a gamble than usual. PL is known to rotate the squad so here's hoping we see a change or two to the line-up for the Everton game.
