  1. Yeah they even have a problem with someone who appears on the BBC once a week sharing opinions from his own personal Twitter account.
  2. I don’t think they should put the old badge in the brickwork
  3. Still right now some people think he's a novice manager who we'd be taking a gamble on, learning on the job at Villa. Meanwhile, others think he's unattainable for us. I think closer to the latter.
  4. Is that ever a thing? Maybe he’s just being coy about it to never be associated with or ruled out of either job. Him actually being a Villa fan might be the only chance we have of hiring him in the near future. Though it’s not a guarantee he would like to take on the dual responsibility of his own career and the club he supports like smith did. Nice when it works out or extra disastrous if it doesn’t.
  5. No mention of Tyson Fury's shocking return from retirement? Wants to fight Joshua in December as Usyk won't be ready.
  6. This penalty in the replies is worth posting too
  7. Thought he’d be sacked by now. One of them has to go after Saturday surely. Straight swap anyone?
  8. Next summer, bring him home. £20m and city to cover the extra wages
  9. Was just about to suggest VAR challenges by the captain/manager that send the on-pitch referee to look at the incident again (this could be done on a tablet they carry round to save time). That way they can see a replay of the incident without the bias of someone saying "I think you should look at that again". This essentially makes the referee also the VAR, so they are still in control (in theory). 2/3 challenges each per match, successful ones retained. Max review time 1 minute or stick with original decision. Probably some reasons why this is a crap idea, but it's a suggestion for how to use video replays yet drastically changing the current, failing system.
  10. They’ve both been registered for now as far as I can tell. We’ve got 27 listed but that included Feeney and Archer (and Ramsey, think he’s still “under 21”). Moves to Turkey and elsewhere still possible too.
  11. We’d be in league one now if it wasn’t for that!
  12. Let's see if Blackpool stay up or whatever by 2 points purely because of this incident.
  13. Great touch round the keeper, into the corner flag, and creating the right angle from which to score.
  14. You can still follow his exploits in the loan thread
  15. Great work @Hornso especially with all of the new loanees. Think you've missed off Caleb though.
  16. Yep increase his wages, promise him more game time, get himself in the WC squad, let him have a release clause so at least if he goes next summer we get £30-40m instead of nothing.
  17. They are the rules! There’s nothing about the direction the ball Is played, only relative positions of players.
  18. Definitely went against the rule there, I thought it was if there’s any doubt let the play carry on but the rule is actually even if they think it’s offside carry on. Well he can’t think it’s offside without being **** incompetent and even if so he shouldn’t flag.
  19. And where does it say about the direction the ball is played? A player can be closer to the goal than the ball and the second last opponent, the ball is played backwards, the player runs back and retrieves the ball, they are offside.
  20. For an infringement that happened before the full time whistle was blown. Theres nothing wrong with the implementation of VAR here, you can’t just awarding things when the ball wasn’t in play and the players had stopped. The problem in this case is that play shouldn’t have been stopped.
  21. I don’t think the direction the ball is played is or has ever been part of the offside rule.
