Staged prank videos and the people that believe them. Morons.

Theres thousands of them, and every single on is 1) staged and 2) unfunny

Theres a new breed of them which is a shitty staged “prank war” to promote the participants only fans channels. I’ve seen a few of those on Facebook.

Said it before and I'll say it again. LinkedIn is THE worst (major) social media platform. It is full of absolute total made up bollocks.

And bloody impossible to get out of once you're in. It's like scientology.

It's horrendous. They are so obviously staged and fake. I don't understand what anyone sees in them.

Someone in my neighbourhood has acquired a drone. Whoever is flying it keeps flying it over our back yard, keeps hovering over the row of houses and generally scares the heebyjeebies out of birds, cats, dogs and old people alike. What sort of rights do I have here? The noise is so annoying, a loud, whizzy, propellarly sound that is extremely irritating and the person is clearly filming private property from the air..

It's illegal.  CAA rules for recreational drones state they cannot be flown "over or within 150 metres of any congested area" which is defined as "a city, town or settlement, any area which is substantially used for residential, commercial, industrial or recreational purposes"

He's also got to keep in in his direct line of site at all times.

If its a heavier drone of 20kg or more there are stricter rules as well.

LinkedIn - full of people posting selfies from some work 'event' who are super excited about having to spend yet another evening away from their family; having to socialise and brown nose with a bunch of w4nkers, all because they are too worried about possibly losing their jobs!

What also pisses me off is the need to say 'super' before stuff - that super pisses me off! Yes, I've had a drink!

And they're all lying.

I've literally been in events at work with people and talked to them about how boring it is or pointless it is. Then half an hour later they're posting about it on LinkedIn and how amazing it was and how they love the company.

Total bollocks

I mean, Facebook is by far the worst, but yeah, LinkedIn seems pretty annoying.

I genuinely don't agree. I just think LinkedIn is the fakest of the fake. It's like a massive CV for the world filled with bullshit trying to make people look good.

Facebook has created a world of aunts and uncles becoming coronavirus truthers, QAnon stans, poppy fascists and dipshits who genuinely think that Donald Trump isn't being given a 'fair chance' by the 'liberal media', and Ben Shapiro's bum-fluff blog posts are shared more widely on there than the content of basically every mainstream news outlet added together. Facebook was instrumental in organising a genocide in Myanmar. LinkedIn can't compete, not least because it doesn't have the scale to do that much damage.

I am forced to agree. On the one hand FB is personally invaluable to me, as a communication channel with family and friends, but I must admit it's hard to avoid seeing the level of craziness and ignorance that is proliferating out in the wider FB community. I'd like to believe that it's still a small minority that happens to shout loudly, and that the majority of sane folks are just out there not engaging, but I'm becoming increasingly doubtful. It's like watching poison spreading.

Yeah I was kind of getting at the amount of lies and bullshit that's on them rather than actually how bad they are. But I should probably rephrase to "annoying" rather than bad or worst. Hard to argue with the Facebook stuff

Just remember - they *could* moderate it, if they wanted to.

Some of the things I saw on LinkedIn over the weekend.

”I hired someone over 40, aren’t I great”

“I hired someone without experience, aren’t I great”

”I hired this guy and he’s doing well” - picture of guy with tattoos all over his head, face and neck... aren’t I great for not judging him.

Its an absolute shit hole of bullshit. Because of the reach Facebook does much more damage but my god LinkedIn is ugly.

Similar to a post made by @Stevo985 a few days ago.

I'll set the scene, I had just got back from a 5 mile run and the Mrs was cutting the boys hair. Tea was well underway at this point.

I said 'does anything need doing with tea'

'no' is the response.

I go and sit down, still all sweaty but realise the need to keep an eye on the 18 month old whilst the Mrs hoovers, which she has just started doing. 5 minutes of hoovering and huffing and puffing later ...

I ask 'whats wrong'

Her 'well, the tea needs sorting, the washing up needs doing, I'm doing the hoovering and you're just sitting there'

I will NEVER understand how a woman's brain works.

I fell into that trap yesterday @Mjvilla

Yesterday, chicken in the oven.
Me: anything need doing?

Her: you could peel some potatoes if you like

Me: Sure. (Peels potatoes).

Her 10 minutes later: Thanks a lot for leaving the other vegetables to me.
