I haven't used ink for decades!

Didn't they still use writing slates when you were at school?

No, that was later. We used to impress runes into wet clay tablets.

If I see a man in flip flops or sandals who isn't at the beach it disgusts me.

Definitely this!

I saw a bloke in some flip flops earlier. Yeah, okay - the sun is out, but the temperature is in single figures and it's still only March for **** sake.

Plus you're in the middle of a grimy city; not the **** Côte d'Azur.

People seem to wear them for as long as they possibly can each year, too. Last year I remember going to work one day and it was pissing down. I was walking along under my umbrella it was coming down that bad.

What did I see? Some tool flapping along in the wet with his **** flip flops on!

They're not comforable, they don't look good, and they show off one of (if not THE) most ugliest parts of your body. I should start walking around with my rusty sheriff star on display. That'd be equally as un-attractive.

McGrath bless Laszlo Biro for inventing something useful.
I used to work with a Hungarian bloke called Biro. Dunno if he was related to the pen man or not.

EDIT: Should it be pronounced "Bee-ro"?

Yes, bee-ro is how old Laz was pronounced, By-ro is how we pronounce it.

a bit like the days of the week, it should be Moonday, Tewsday, Wodinsday, Thorsday and Freyday. They've just corrupted, as presumably the pronunciation of "beero" did albeit Biro corrupted very quickly.

I suppose they didn't want it confused with Be-Ro flour.

Ink. Being left handed is a bugger if you have to deal with a running ink pen.

Ink pisses me off no end, It can always be relied on to find itself on my fingers, hands or in my shirt pocket.

You need one of these

Also, has anybody else noticed that most Black people pronounce 'ask' as 'aks'?
