Everton already looking a better side for shipping out Cahill. They could be sniffing around top 4/5 again this season.

Everton have a great ability to play well against better opposition. It's almost as if they thrive on being the under-dogs.

Just in case anyone was wondering about the pros and cons of having a big man in the team, Fellaini has shown how it can work.

Not sure what you mean by that really. Do you mean as is a big lump it up to him #9 or something else? Fellaini is very much a footballer who happens to dominate physically too, but his game isnt just about him being a big bastard who can win knockdowns.

I mean a Fellaini type player. Proving that a big man doesn't have to mean Tony Cascarino in the modern game. Fellaini is a good all-rounder and has more to his game than just getting on the end of high balls, although he can do that we required.

We'd be well set with someone like him in the side, no doubt.

I'm not sure there are that many Fellani types about though, big blokes who can play football are few and far between and more often than not they tend to be strikers. If they are any good they dont come cheap, Everton paid £15m for Fellani when he was a 20 year old prospect. It's looking like a gamble well paid off (and it has been for a couple of years to be fair) but it's not like we have been missing a trick by not having a player like Fellaini in the side, its just that there hasnt been one available.

Yeah MON decided Heskey/Harewood would be a better gamble.

I'm not defending the signings of either of those players, but their fees combined was literally half of what Everton paid for Fellaini.

Isn't Stephen Nzonzi a Fellaini type player according to his wiki he's not on the small side 6ft 3 and wants out of Blackburn

Watching the Helsingborgs vs Celtic game on ITV. Talk about a smash and grab! Celtic have just gone 2-0 up in the 75th minute. They scored in the 2nd minute too. They spent every second of every minute in between getting absolutely battered. **** knows how they arent losing the game, but they are looking like they are through to the next round of the big cup.

Why is there a random Prem game tonight - Chelsea -v- Reading? It's not even as it it's on TV by the looks of it? Weird because it's not even as if it's either team's first game either!
