coda
They'll be up for it against Barca. It was subdued tonight. Up for it? Yes. Destroyed? Also yes. There midfield could not control possession one jot tonight, imagine what Barca will do. Chelsea couldn't beat Barca at their peak powers, this team is nowhere near. I'll repeat that if Bendtner had put that chance away late on at the Nou Camp Arsenal would've went through. Barca are not unbeatable.

ryanvilla_1994
Am I the only one that can see Chelsea causing an upset?? Also watched Madrid tonight and the kid Varane was outstanding, knew he was going to be a star after I signed him on football manager 2011
dudevillaisnice
Varane is a very very good defender.. so composed it's unreal.
Mantis
Chelsea should've gone through 3 years ago. They didn't beat Barcelona because of the ridiculous refereeing.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
This is a pretty poor Chelsea side, I just don't see how Chelsea will go through. Possession stats will be ridiculous from the way I've seen Chelsea play, even like tonight before the sending off, possession was all Benfica. Not to say Chelsea won't be improved but have they got the quality to defend for 90 minutes and also have a finish on the limited breaks they will have? I'm not sure, I think it'll be about 5/6-1 on aggregate.
Stevo985 Posted April 5, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted April 5, 2012 ridiculously Spurs vs Chelsea is at 6pm on Sunday before they play BArcelona. FA really are morons It's all part of that conspiracy to help Barca
Stevo985 Posted April 5, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted April 5, 2012 Chelsea should've gone through 3 years ago. They didn't beat Barcelona because of the ridiculous refereeing. Agreed. BUt this Barca side is even better than that. And Chelsea are considerably poorer. I'd be shocked if Chelsea go through. El Classico final I would think (although I'd love to see Bayern there)
dudevillaisnice
I'd like to see Bayern in the final but not at the expense of Madrid Cracking game tonight Athletic Bilbao vs Schalke 2nd leg.
LondonLax
Technically, Chelsea could still win the Champions League and finish 5th, taking a spot from the top 4. That would make for some interesting end of season debates.
Stevo985 Posted April 5, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted April 5, 2012 I'd **** love that. Especially if it was Spurs who lost their place.
jimmythomas
Is that what happens? That would be hilarious, if Spurs lost their CL spot. However, I do not wish to see a European title go to London - so I'll be hoping the worst for them.
Swerbs
I reckon Chelsea will win 1 - 0 at Stamford Bridge then go and park the bus at Nou Camp taking them through.
TrentVilla Posted April 5, 2012 Moderator Share Posted April 5, 2012 Not a chance of the refs allowing Chelsea to beat Barca. Yep you read that right.
Guest av1
Not a chance of the refs allowing Chelsea to beat Barca. Yep you read that right. welcome Jose. not suggesting big teams get favourable decisions are we Trent? Actually i agree, but feel a dodgy ref won't be the only reason chelsea get smashed. ml1dch
Not a chance of the refs allowing Chelsea to beat Barca. I'm not sure they'll really have that much to do with it. Messi and Sanchez against Cahill or Luiz? It'll likely be ridiculous.
