    Croatia have just reached their first ever world cup final... incredible considering they're a nation of only 4 million people. They'll be overjoyed whatever happens now.

    Southgate pretty much did the best he possibly could with the tools at his disposal, in my opinion. Still, they blew an incredible opportunity to reach the final. It's going to be a very long time indeed before I regain interest in international football after this, personally.

    I agree. England had a golden opportunity here, and it's unlikely they'll ever get it again (at least in my lifetime).

    England will never get a better chance at winning the world cup than this. They seriously blew it. Fast losing interest in football.

    I didn't say they're a shoe in for the semis. I'm well aware England are over hyped and overrated but their squad is still stronger than Colombia, Sweden and Switzerland's. To not beat them would be a failure in my eyes (especially when you take into account all the players Southgate rested for the Belgium game).

    I sure as **** don't. I've come to learn that it is better to not invest yourself emotionally in something that is so completely out of your control, and I am a happier person for it.

    All these signings feel very Dalglish-y to me, especially Lallana/Lambert. I may be wrong, but I have a sneaky feeling that they will flop this season.

    I would love it if the Premiership lost its 4th CL place. Unlikely, though, given how poor Serie A clubs are performing.
