I dont really understand what Potter is trying to do at Chelsea, possession for possession sake. Its not exciting and probably does need a pre season to get his ideas across but it looks like a poor match

He isnt helped by his owner buying any player he can find

Absolutely swindled. Good for Brighton.

It’s telling that Man City were willing to offer 40 million max and then Chelsea come in swinging their dick with a 60 million offer, ridiculous transfer business.

Mudryk (who I’ve never heard of) signs for £89m on an 8.5 year contract. Proper heads gone.

Chelsea to implode.

Spurs and Arsenal should just announce that they want to sign a player, float an absurd fee and then just wait for Boehly to swoop in and pay an even higher fee. Could bankrupt Chelsea within a few years!

That’s the weakest Chelsea side I’ve seen in a long time

That is pretty much a second XI  - and is still easily a mid-table team.

Their team that is injured/suspended:

Mendy

Chillwell - Fofana - James

Pulisic - RLC - Kante - Zakaria - Sterling

Joao Felix - Broja

(with Mudryk to come too)

arsenal spend months negotiating then chelsea swoop in with a better offer and get the deal wrapped up. that's pretty funny to be fair

arsenal have a real chance to win the league and miss out on their top target because they want to save a few mil, forgetting that other clubs also have money. very silly

Are you certain it’s Arsenal being silly here 🤔

Instead of City having to pay Sterling about £20m to be an underperforming, regressing player who barely contributed... Chelsea gave them £30m AND took that contract off their hands.

Obscene signing.

The gave the just shy of £50m for him.

True, still doesn’t change the fact that todays lineup is their weakest for a long time.

Chelsea is probably spreading the signing fees over the contract lenght. A proper piss in the pants to keep warm tactic that will backfire when they have to ged rid of non performing players with high wages and not being capable of fetching book value on the players.

How is it possible that they are paying these prices yet still cruising through ffp?

Apparently there is some rule that when you have new owners the slate starts clean. Not sure if that’s 100% accurate though.
