Wouldn't be surprised if this were the side but I think this is why we never progress. Lampard is a great player - todays hat trick shows this again - but he is a second striker/ACM and needs to play off a striker like Torres or Drogba. Gerard, for me, is similar BUT is better in a sitting position than Frank. We need to play two sitting CM'ers that play sitting roles week in week out. Also surprised not to see Sturridge in there. kurtsimonw Posted October 3, 2011 Share Posted October 3, 2011 I thought strikers was our weak point, but Bent and rooney can score and with the form Gabby and Sturridge are in, maybe we don't really have a standout weak area at all.
