Ive always wondered if times always existed or if there was a period where there was nothing before creation.

Spacetime began with the big bang, didn't it?

Yeah if that did happen. Butvthere are alot of theories out there that say time always existed. Its such a fascinating subject because if there was nothing how does a big bang just happen?

Yeah but doesnt really answer why and how

There doesn't have to be a 'why'. We've evolved to look for simple causality everywhere - it's a very useful approach at the macro level. But as with quantum theory vs Newtonian mechanics, that stuff stops applying at the level of a singularity.

Yeah that is true but our minds are designed to ask such questions - i would like to know why its something ive always wondered.

Our minds aren't designed - they evolved.

The point I was making above. Evolving intelligence focused on the concept of cause and effect. For all practical purposes a very useful tool. But as we have seen, 'common sense' completely fails at the quantum level. The question "What caused the big bang, then?" is basically meaningless.

I'm pretty sure it was when Makosi Musambasi jumped into the Hot Tub topless.

It would seem much of Villa Talk  operates as a quantum phenomenon.

Eh, it’s all relative.
