Top soundtrack on Snowfall.

Nah see that's where I disagree!

I think the soundtrack is one of the weaker parts of snowfall, it's got 2 nit picking tiny problems for me

Firstly the soundtrack I think is OK but it's not stand out whereas they could go hard on it

Secondly which is probably the bigger bug bearer for me is that I don't think that they use enough real world events to place it, they skirted around the Olympics at the start, they throw out 1 or 2 nods here and there, I've not seen the 6th season yet but I think they stop in 1990 so short of Rodney King and the riots, it's what imo mad men did really well not just the jfk episode which is my favourite and a superb piece of TV but it often threw out real life events almost in passing, I don't think the show really touched on Gates at the LAPD who as police chief went to the senate as said "casual drug users should be shot" it is throw away but imagine if Franklin was sat watching TV and the news reported that, that blend of history would be cool and that what mad men nailed and made it very special and again going back to the music, they don't reference it apart from a couple fo scenes at skullys apartment, NWA released **** the police in 88 the show doesn't have like Jerome turn to Louise and say "have you heard this" and integrate it in a way that I think would elevate the show

Again both are nit picking rather than ruining it or anything daft like that

Sixth Commandment is superb. Absolutely brilliant TV.

Seconded. There's a Channel 4 documentary about the case, called "Catching a Killer: A Diary From the Grave", still available for streaming.

Watched the Netflix Wham Documentary last night. Very well done, lots of unseen footage and a lot of cleaned up footage. Not a channel 5 talking heads thing, huge contributions from Andrew Ridgeley as well as George Michael.

Does being an anthology keep Black Mirror from being spoken about as a top tier show?

Its consistently brilliant

Has it's own thread on VT doesn't it? Therefore it must be considered one of the elite TV shows.

As it happens we've just started watching them all from the beginning, as I'd only watched a couple of them, plus the interactive one, since they went to Netflix.

There are a few stinkers, but generally they're at least worth watching, with some of them being great.

We watched the Miley Cyrus one last night which I found to be the funniest so far, and a blast from start to finish.

My favourite has been San Junipero.

S02E07 of The Bear, the "chapter" as Plex labelled it between ~15 and 22 minutes, where

Spoiler

Richie moves up from cleaning forks in the 3* restaurant and the IDKWTCH woman organises the tables and explains about researching guests, so the out-of-towners get served a supplementary deep dish pizza ordered in, and Richie absolutely nails the service

culminating in that scene with Taylor Swift's 'Love Story', is one of the finest pieces of television I think I've ever seen.

The Apprentice from 2011 through to 2019 welcomes this definition.

It certainly was part of the zeitgeist for a time, I'll give it that.

In an episode of Bosch; Jerry Edgar played by Jamie Hector gets asked if he has seen The Wire. Thought that was funny as he played Marlo Stansfield in that.

What do the residents of Coronation Street watch on TV at 8.00 on Mondays and Wednesdays?

Hear me out on this one. Young Sheldon. It's pretty good. I watched a couple of episodes of Big Bang Theory and it was absolute rot. Amongst the very worst TV shows ever, Young Sheldon is completely different in every way. Obviously if you dislike American TV, you will dislike it but as comedies go it's not bad at all.
