Cavani isn't good enough right now for me, he'd be silly to move. He's never really been much of a goal threat, but more of a creative forward who can hold the ball up well and has good movement. Although people shouldn't rate him on his role for Uruguay as he plays out of position and does a very good job there most of the time.

I like Kjaer a lot though, and surely he can get a bigger club then Tottenham. However it's all being denied so as I think someone said, Palermo are trying to start a bidding war.

Will be interesting to see who makes way. I expect de Jong is gone. Can't imagine Barry is too comfy after the season he just had.

Yaya Toure is a class player. He's only not a regular for Barcelona because Busquets is just incredible at breaking down attacks. Toure is quicker and stronger, and a better passer of the ball. Busquets just has... a knack.

David Silva is alot more attacking than De Jong.. I can't see him replacing De Jong. Yaya Toure however...

I'd like to think we'd take de Jong of their hands, we won't :(

De Jong would be just the ticket for us.

Maybe now he has prem experience MON might consider it? Nah, course not.

Although I could see him going to a bigger side than us. He would be the perfect replacement for Petrov. How much did Man City pay for him? £15m? Something like that?

£16m when he had 5 months left on his contract at Hamburg

Toure De Jong

Milner

Silva Tevez Robinho

They won't sell De Jong imo, it seems as though many City fans want that to be their team, looks pretty tasty to me with Adebayor, Johnson etc on the bench

Well Robinho's unlikely to be in that side you would think.

Silva will probably flop, however if Yaya comes in then he can have protection to go and roam and maybe do well.

Until it gets cold and he is nailed every week.

Off back to Spain like Reyes.

Replacement for Petrov i'd assume..

Apparently still in for Yaya Toure, James Milner, Edin Dzeko and a left-back, possibly Kolarov.

Manchester City have reached an agreement with Valencia over the transfer of David Silva on a five-year deal.

Roberto Mancini has been busy trying to strengthen his squad since City's disappointing end to last season when they agonisingly missed out on UEFA Champions League qualification.

Silva was identified as somebody who could help the club challenge for future honours, although Chelsea were also linked with a move for the winger.

City have now won the chase for his signature and finalised the details of his contract.

The Spain international will complete his medical and officially become a City player once his involvement at the World Cup is over.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from Valencia for some time as the financially-troubled Spanish club look to raise funds, and he is delighted to be on his way to Eastlands.

Challenge

"Firstly I would like to thank Valencia as a club and all of their loyal fans, and my team-mates there and staff," Silva told City's official website.

"I have enjoyed six years at Valencia, they discovered me as a footballer and they will always be a special club for me.

"The time is right for me to seek a new challenge, and I am thrilled about playing in England with Manchester City.

"I believe the Premier League is one of the best competitions in the world and I want to bring success to City and win trophies for them.

"There has been a lot of speculation about me in the British and Spanish media, and I need to fully concentrate on playing for Spain in the World Cup.

"That is why my advisors have been dealing with City for me so that I can have my attentions only on South Africa and playing well for my national team."

He said: "I think that David Silva is one of the best midfielders in Europe, and I hope he will be a very important player for Manchester City.

"I am so pleased he is coming to us, I think he can make a big, big impact for Manchester City.

"In signing David, we are showing the world that we are bringing the best players here and that we hope to compete to win the Premier League.

"When players see what is happening at Manchester City and the ambition they are attracted to what we are building and want to be a part of it.

"I hope he does very well for Spain in the World Cup and then joins us for our pre-season, ready to compete in the Premier League.

"I am very excited about seeing him playing for Manchester City."

Yaya Toure is also expected to sign for Manchester City from Barcelona, with the midfielder's agent declaring this week that a deal was close.

Here

Personally I think its a great signing and a signal of just how far they are going to go this summer.

The formation they'll play will be interesting to say the least.

Boateng-------Toure-----------Lescott----------Bridge

---------------De Jong-----------Toure---------------------

Silva-------------------New AMC-------------Robinho

--------------------------Tevez-------------------------

Is my guess.

Makes me laugh at Barry

And after the WC he's had we wouldn't even accept him back.
