Who even thinks of scoring that way?

Only him :D

Joining the illustrious group of 28 players who has scored 500 career league or international goals in football history.

Second Swede after Gunnar Nordahl and along with Messi and Ronaldo the only currently active player to have done so.

Edit: No idea what they count as he's listed at 506 goals but this was his 500 career goal. Guessing it's from some unofficial games or something. Friendlies doesn't count.

Scored goal #19 and #20 in 24 games for L.A tonight in their 3-0 win over Vancouver.

Had the opportunity to score a hattrick when he was brought down for a penalty at 2-0 but gave it to a teammate instead.

9 goals and 2 assists so far in 8 games this season in the MLS.

Zlatan being Zlatan he's also been a prick verbally towards Nedum Onuoah and continued to play the role of cartoonish wrestling bad guy to help raise the marketing value of the league.

Yes, it is an act. He knows exactly what he's doing.

I was reading that and thought it was remarkably similar to the clash with Mings (obviously Onuoha didn’t go to the lengths of trying to stamp on Zlatan’s head though...).

First of all, he grabs Onuoha by the neck and drags him to the ground (against Mings, this was also the first action; chucking him to the ground off the ball). Next, catches Onuoha on the top of the head then tells him he’s going to hurt him (against Mings, he elbowed him in the head and then tried to stamp on him before Mings actually caught Zlatan instead).

Its not “an act”, Zlatan is just a massive word removed. Somehow he gets away without a bad reputation though. Bizarre.

Not sure that last part is even remotely true :D

Yeah the bullying defenders and being nasty on the pitch obviously isn't an act.

I was referring to the talking in 3rd person, acting larger than life and spouting quotes on talkshows.

That is brand promotion for himself and the MLS.

He is a very different person in private.

It definitely is. As you said yourself “cartoonish wrestling bad guy”. There is absolutely a view of “awww shucks, it’s just Zlatan being Zlatan”.

Getting his own movie now, was only a matter of time of course.

Just like the Ronaldo, Iniesta or Messi movie I will not watch this one.

Quote

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's autobiography "I am Zlatan" will be a feature film.

The recordings start next year and the film is planned to go up to the cinema 2021.

- I feel very inspired and touched but also a bit sharpened over being a part of this big project, says director Jens Sjögren in a press release.

Now it is clear that the book about Sweden's biggest football star of all time, Zlatan Ibrahimovic , will become a biofilm, writes Sydsvenskan .

According to the newspaper, the recordings of the film will start during next year and the hunt for two young actors who will play Zlatan Ibrahimovic as 11 and 16 year olds will just start.

"Touched and slightly sharpened"

Director Jens Sjögren , who, among other things, made the TV series "Before We Die" has been commissioned to direct the film and Zlatan himself will reportedly be involved in the work with the film.

- I feel very inspired and moved but also a bit sharpened over being a part of this big project, says Jens Sjögren in a press release.

The script work will be completed during the autumn and the film is expected to be premiered on the screen in 2021.

The self-biography "Jag är Zlatan" was released in 2011 and was written in collaboration with the author David Lagercrantz . The book is translated into more than 30 languages.

Once again you have to love google translate.

Just attention seeking at this stage to stay in limelight. at tge World Cup he was on every ad in Sweden. Before it he was begging for a call up and Sweden did much better without him

His day is gone nobody cares about Zlatan anymore
