paddy Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Was talking to my mate the other day about something, and I can't even remember what it was, but he said "it's like marmite isn't it" meaning you either love it or nate it. Apparently you either love or hate marmite. But I don't. It's alright. So just wondering if I'm alone in this.
MrWeedMcGrass Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I'll confess , I had to google the term 'Marmite'!
NulliSecundus Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I love marmite, it's bang on. My girlfriend is probably one for the 'it's alright' category, so it's not as the advertising slogan says
Chindie Posted March 9, 2010 VT Supporter Posted March 9, 2010 Looks and tastes like something that should be used to build motorways.
Phumfeinz Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I'm either having major deja vu or you've posted something similar to this in the past.
mjmooney Posted March 9, 2010 VT Supporter Posted March 9, 2010 Love it. Food of the Gods. And don't let's have any Australians on here spouting nonsense about Vegemite.
PompeyVillan Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Love. It. In fact, I might go and make a cup of hot marmite now. I always have Bovril at VP when it's cold, but it always tastes nasty when I make it at home.
Hanky Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I can't remember ever having it, maybe once. So I must not have liked it if I didn't have it again.
blandy Posted March 9, 2010 Moderator Posted March 9, 2010 Love it. Food of the Gods. And don't let's have any Australians on here spouting nonsense about Vegemite. I love it, and I love Vegemite too. Soetimes the mood takes me for marmite, sometimes vegemite. For a long time I preferred Vegemite - probably from knocking about with Aussies when I lived in Newquay, where there's loads of 'em, but more recently I have been having Marmite on toast for brekky, and now have to buy the 'mungous jars of it to serve my gooey, black, salty, paste needs.
maqroll Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 It would take me 5 years to finish a small jar of Marmite. It's alright.
bickster Posted March 9, 2010 Moderator Posted March 9, 2010 like it, now and again, not addicted, clicked on alright
Jon Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 like it, now and again, not addicted, clicked on alright I'm with padders and Gareth. I have it every now and again. It's ok. Nothing more. Bovril though, to drink in the freezing cold, FTW.
blandy Posted March 9, 2010 Moderator Posted March 9, 2010 I'm either having major deja vu or you've posted something similar to this in the past. Yes, but did you a) Love it or hate it or c) nurghhh
The_Lions_Roar Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Hate it, i think its the smell! Someone in my office has recently started eating that marmite flavoured cheese theyve brought out, makes me gag!
CarewsEyebrowDesigner Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Can't beat a bit of marmite on toast. nom nom.
rjw63 Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Love it. Food of the Gods. This In fact I had it on toast for lunch, and i have it most days at some point Dee **** licious
Stevo985 Posted March 9, 2010 VT Supporter Posted March 9, 2010 Don't mind it, but it wouldn't be near the top of my list for stuff to spread on toast. Marmite cheese is fooking rank.
