Off to that Butlins on Friday. I better be having all of this sex stuff, my game is F- at best but the way you all sold it, it won't matter.

What you doing? I've got an 80s weekender in June.

Just sold my car.

I decided I needed something a bit newer but the p/x prices were really bad. It would have been ok if my car was a shed but it was tidy with a lot of life left in it.

Quit with the automotive foreplay Dave, we all want to know what you have got to replace the Kuga!

Replay weekend. Basically doesn't have a theme just a random bunch of acts.

A newer Kuga

Kuga means plague in Croatian,Serbian and Slovenian. Its sales are reportedly lower in the region due to the unfortunate naming choice.

I still don’t understand why Ford called the car a Kuga, when they previously had a Cougar.

And then a Puma when they had a Puma in the past, but a different type of car.

Then a car called Ka.

They must be smoking some strong stuff in their marketing department.

Had to mooney Kuga to find out what it is.   Turns out it's the same vehicle called the Escape in the US.  Escape means anal-fisting deathtrap in Croation, Serbian and Slovenian, so it's easy to see why they stuck with Kuga.  I made that last bit up.

Chevrolet reportedly had difficulty selling their popular US model, the Nova, in Mexico in the 70's as nobody wanted a car named "Doesn't go".

Similarly, I have almost no interest in UFC/mixed martial arts, however, one of my favourite films is Warrior. The fight scenes add to the story, but it's the personal elements of the film that I connect with.

Similar to the Rocky films.

Plus it has The National on the soundtrack

We had a Vauxhall Nova, while it was known as an Opel Corsa in Europe, including Spain. We eventually adopted the Corsa nameplate for the 2nd gen.

Mitsubishi had to rename their Pajero to Montero in Spanish speaking countries, as who wants to drive a car called rocket polisher?

Original Kuga was just a Kuga, then the MkII was a Ford Escape in the US (quite a bit bigger than the original Kuga).

The Toyota MR2 didn’t sell in France because MR2 said in France/with a French accent sounds like merde (that means shit in French)

Least they're over the jazz mag names, like Fiesta and escort. I'm expecting the new Ford Hallucogenic station wagon to be a crack. The Limited Slip Differential (LSD) Version should be great for a family trip.

I'm not a car person, but as a kid I really wanted one of those because of the cool curved back window.
