KAZZAM
I like Gallagher he seems to have matured as a more rounded player this year. But can't see how we can afford him or who he replaces.
Rightdm00
A healthy Jacob Ramsey is twice the player. With Rogers emergence, this has to be purely paper talk.

Gallagher may be better player but not enough to justify it. In fairness, in a roundabout way you've actually justified why it may make sense. Imagine a game where you have BOTH in your midfield, or Gallagher to replace McGinn when he's injured or suspended, out of form or vice versa. We'll be playing alot of high quality and high intensity games. He could also be heir apparent. Edit: As @Tom13 alluded to... If anything someone like Gallagher would be more likely to replace Luiz than JJ. Edited May 18 by JAMAICAN-VILLAN

Zatman
Wouldnt pay more than 20 million for him, has skills but seems limited on the ball. Not a good fit for us
Delphinho123
I’ve always really rated him. Call me mental, but I think he offers as much as Luiz

Not a good fit for us Does this not fall into the, “if Unai wants him and Monchi can get him for the right price” type of question. I’m happy to read people’s opinions on here but ultimately I bow to those gentlemen who run the club these days. And have been appointed by Nas and Wes to do just that. They’ve certainly earned the right!
Delphinho123
As someone else alluded to, could be a very interesting if we do want Gallagher and they want Duran. There is some mad deal to be done there around FFP.
tinker Posted May 18 VT Supporter Share Posted May 18 Haven't watched much of him apart from when he's played against us and I have to say I was impressed, great work rate and get his foot in, reckon he would replace Kamara and definitely strengthen our squad..........his wage probably excludes us from getting him tbh

One of their lowest paid players, hence he won’t sign a deal (I believe).

A dreadful deal for Villa considering one has world class potential and the other be a Dendoncker replacement 1

turvontour
He's the right profile. Just turned 24, rarely injured, decent output in the premier league.
AshVilla
Please let us not be the club that pays 60m for Conor Gallagher.
UpTheVilla26
No. I can't stand the prat, it's like watching a slightly more talented Robbie Savage run around.
Popular Post useless
Gallager is a great player, brilliant workrate and attitude, versatile, contributes goals and assists, the idea that he lacks tecnical ability is a complete myth and I've noticed that lazy trope being applied to a lot players recently just because they happen to be hard working and don't a load of fancy skills or look like the archetypal tika taka midfielder, in a lot of ways he reminds me of James Milner. He's been one of Chelsea's best players this season, probably their best other than Cole Palmer, he was Palace's best player when he was there, and also Albion's best player, all this is no accident Also not sure why people think he would be Kamara's back-up, he's not a DM, maybe he could play there at a push, but would be signed primarily as a box-to-box midfieder, he's nothing like Dendoncker, not even close Chelsea would be crazy to let him, this story has come from one of their reporters, I can't help but wonder if it's been put out there so when he signs a new deal with them it looks a bigger deal than it is because they can frame it as having beat us and Spurs to retain his services
