If it was the Diaby from the start of the seaon I would agree, but let's be honest, he's been pretty woeful for a long time now (assist v Luton aside).

I think there's definitely more of an argument for not starting him and Rogers would give us a more 'solid' look.

Having said that, I hope that they are both (good) options off the bench and Ramsey is 100% raring to go.

Think that’s misguided. Diaby has been disappointing for a while I agree, but he still produces absolutely huge moments of quality like his cross against Luton. Rogers did fine against Luton, albeit got substituted on and off because tactically he wasn’t on it, but they are a Championship side, Spurs is a totally different proposition. No way can he be trusted to start in such a big game IMO. This is a season defining game and Rogers looked lost against Ajax in all honesty. We can’t afford passengers against Spurs who will be at almost full strength.

We have to hope Ramsey is fit to start, but if he isn’t Diaby comes in for me and Bailey goes over to the left where they’ll be lots of gaps given Porro loves to get forward.

Other than who replaces Ramsey if not fit, I think the only other selection questions are:

  • Digne v Moreno: I’d personally go Digne for being better defensively against the threat of Porro/Kulusevski, but Moreno might better exploit the space in behind Porro so could understand either. Emery seems to love Moreno despite looking suspect recently, so I suspect it will be him, but let’s see.
  • Cash v Lenglet/Carlos: does he play Cash at right back with Konsa in the middle with Pau Torres, or does he play Konsa at right back and start Carlos or Lenglet alongside Pau? I think the second option again gives us more defensive solidity and also protects Cash who that thug Romero may be targeting, but I also think Cash has been playing well of late so can understand either. I think Cash will be on the bench though.

The bit in bold is exactly what I am hoping. I don't particularly want Rogers starting, but I don't think it's such a gimme that Diaby should start over him if it came to a choice of the two.

Rogers was also a whisker a way of scoring against Luton, but for a great save.

Anyway, I really hope Diaby finds some real form, think we're gonna need it to finish top 4/win Europa.

Slightly concerned that the PL have appointed a Man Utd from Manchester to officiate a game between their two rivals for CL

Expect Utd to get their desired result. I seriously believe we will see some strange decisions during the remainder of the season to assist Utd in CL qualification.

I always try amd maintain optimism when it comes to my unconditional love, but this one is giving me the jitters. I know the Villa that beat City and Arsenal in 4 days should come out on top, I suppose a draw wouldn't be that calamitous. Let's just hope we're on it from the off, because I have a sneaky feeling they will be very up for it. Fingers crossed!

Come on me Babbys!

Trust me, we'll get what we deserve, and hopefully, that's all three points.

We need to find the intensity we showed against City and Arsenal....and only then, will we have a chance of winning.

We are capable of winning and losing against teams like Spurs.

This is it. At no time can we afford to be passive. The reason I use that term is because at times we have allowed teams too much space and almost invited teams to gain the initiative, hence, the first - half against Ajax.

What would be a good result for Man. United though? They're not catching either us or Spurs with whoever wins this game. We'll be 11 points clear of them with a win and Spurs will be six clear with a further game in hand.

I think people are getting way over the top with this "Man. United will just be gifted endless ref decisions" to get 4th/5th when they've missed out on CL four times in the last decade and in reality they're not good enough to capitalise anyway.

I honestly believe he will see a different beast tomorrow. We will be at them from the off. The gaffer knows how to play these type of games.

Every time I think of this game I feel sick.

When you feel pressure roll spit round your cheeks continuously with deep breaths. It works a treat and gets rid of all that pent up anxiety. Square, breathing as well works.

If that fails stick on porn hub

Exactly. It should be a given. If you're right, let's hope we take the chances when they come. That way, the Holte is at full volume and that should be enough to inspire anyone in claret and blue.
