BBC/sky having to admit that Villa are now Premier League champions We then spend the next decade winning every trophy and title legally, fairly and playing by the rules of the game. For it to even be a remote possibility is remarkable. One thing for sure is we've rattled a few fanbases and particularly in North London. The problem with finishing 6th now is that it means we play the second half of the season like an 8th or 9th placed team. So we would have done 14 months as 2nd or 3rd best team really consistently and then next 5 months as upper mid table standard. Given we finished 7th last season I would say finishing above that this season is progress. As you allude to though if we finished, say, 6th this season we'd drop off from our current position. Clearly we have a great opportunity to mix up the established teams (even if not ultimately challenging for the title later on in the season) so I hope we take it. UTV!
